    Sorry if I posted to wrong category, please move there it should be.
    There are some useless hero sub-abilities that should be removed in my opinion. For example puck's Ethereal Jaunt, I mean you can use it only when orb exists, and you can't have more than one orb, so this ability does not deserve it's own key, it can safely replace Illusory Orb when orb appears and be there until orb disappears. Same thing with spectre's Reality, it should replace Haunt after Haunt casted, and there are others such skills.

    KotL's Illuminate does not have sub-ability to throw a wave, neither Alchemist's Unstable Concoction or Bane who stops Nightmare with same skill, and I think it is correct to bind to same button "forms" of common skill, that cannot exist in same moment of time.

    Also the 2 skills you mentioned to be the way you want are both like that because they're channelling.

                No, if I want to do a fast jaunt I will do orb click jaunt, if jaunt would be to appear when orb is casted I would be unable to do it fast due to casting animation + delay, also I would not be able to shift queue it.

                  Im not so sure
                  Im surely a total newbie, but Dota based on the WC3 engine, and it had some strange issues with keybinds (which i dont understand...) maybe it WAS a legacy ( using pro word here) problem, but now is just a leftover relic?

                    You will have casting animation in both ways, 'delay' is only on your fingers. Shift queue will instantly tp into orb, so you lose no speed.

                        having the same interaction between eth jaunt & it's subability as in other games of the same genre has been requested quite a few times already.
                        however those requests are usually followed by the same conter arguments:
                        - detrimental in -wtf mode
                        - prone to missclicking (spamming keys while being stunned)

                        if you look at spells such as concoction you will see that the spellslot is shared, but the spell is rather slow-paced. and even if it wasnt, you'd still have to target a hero after using the sub ability.
                        in the case of ethereal jaunt, the sub-ability is instant and it is mandatory that the player is able to have full control over when to use the spell and when not to.

                        (an exception to the rule might be sots)

                              However I've heard that those two skills have separate hotkeys in Dota1 because latency can cause you to Orb > Jaunt or Haunt > Reality 0.1s later if they're on the same key. For that reason (if it's true) then obviously it shouldn't be changed in Dota1, and I'm not sure if we're ready for such divergences between versions
