  • Bloodseeker Rupture and QoP ultimate targeting

I had a game some time ago where I rebought after beeing ruptured and still had it on me after doing so, almost killing me again. Even if it was that way in DotA I feel very unhappy with that.

Also I had a Riki in my team who used blinkstrike on an enemy QoP which just was about to cast her ultimate and she turned arround instantly and casted it behind her as if it was a targeted spell.

If someone can confirm this please may he also post it in the bug section since I cant check this very often

1st one is known and about second one, I think that QoP targeted riki directly, that's why she turned around.
Before posting a bug read the Bug posting guidelines first and check the Known Bugs list For existing bugs.

Thats the point I can't remember AoE's as QoP ultimate to be targetable in wc3.

But many are in fact. I didn't test it for QoP, but tons of AoEs with a direction can be targeted on units.
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

Fissure is a classic. If you unit target it and they blink behind you he shoots rocks out of his backside :P

It is, Akasha will chase after target if it's not in range, cast will cancel if target disappears in FoW and so on.
However, I feel there should be a way for abilities of this kind to be cast on the ground ignoring any units there. It seems logical to me.

Tested her ulti in DotA1, Sonic Wave got casted backwards.

That only happens when you click the hero not the ground.

Dota 1 and 2 hero turning rate and angle needed to cast spells vary greatly between the two games. Not sure if it is a point worth comparing and/or asking for parity.

The turning rate doesn't matter. You start casting the spell and during the animation your target blinks away. Your hero continues casting as long as the target is still in range. The only difference here is that in Dota2, your hero faces the target the whole time while casting, while in DotA1, he faces the point the target was as you started casting.
