    Hi. I've been playing meepo (only) for 5 years on WC3.
    Since the release of dota2 i switched onto dota2, there wasnt meepo at that time so i played shadow shaman. When meepo appeared on dota2 i almost burst into tears.

    There were 2 major difference between the time i played on dota1 and dota2.
    I'm not sure if it's a bug so i was hoping someone could answer this for me.

    1. The net
    Apparently there's a new netting mechanism, it delays about 1 sec before the net is thrown out.
    I havnt got the chance to check it out on dota1, does all net have the delay now? and if so, could you also add that to the skill discription?

    2. The teleport
    One of the best tricks for meepo is the TP escape. On dota1, once initiated the Teleport sequence, you could start poofing 2.01 second before the teleport completes.
    The very second the main meepo gets back to base, the other 3 would poof in to unite with him.
    [not on dota2]
    if you poof while teleport is commencing, the poof will be canceled once the teleport completes.
    This gives a disadvantage to meepo; all other heros teleport and they are safe, but meepo needs [time to teleport] + [2 seconds for poof] before all meepos are safe.

    is this a bug? or is this how meepo is going to be from now on?
    please help me solve this question, thanks in advance.

    If so, I understand why: the ability to script is a massive buff so he needs nerfs in other areas.

      tell me why you should hurt people this badly because someone uses a script? you can simply deactivated a command in a script (i think). example : a dev could implement a "you cannot use poof ability in script" command

        I know there used to be a bug with Meepo's Earthbind using backswing when they should have no backswing. Is the net timing still off compared to DotA 1?

        For the second thing, I'm pretty sure this still works in Dota 2. Are you sure your timing is right? I'm a little slow with my Poofs, but I've definitely been able to start a Poof to a location where I don't already have any Meepos and complete the poof with the main Meepo teleported there. There are several videos on Youtube of instant Meepo bombs using Blink Dagger to detonate a lot of Poofs with no delay (like fnatic.N0tail).

            the backswing? is that the time required b4 throwing out the net? i havnt played dota1 since the relase of dota2 (or at least when i got dota2 key nov 2011?) but the net isnt as precise as it was in dota 1.
            it has
            1. a delay of 1 sec b4 throwing the net (not sure if this is the same on dota 1 too)
            2. when throwing a net across leveling terran, it eaither throws short or the indication circle flashes around.

            for the 2nd thing, blink & teleport are different matters in this case.
            in dota 1 , you would be able to poof weather blink / tp, but in dota2 u cant tp during the tp process.

            lets say the a teleport takes 2.5 sec, what i do in dota 1 is:
            meepo1: Teleport,
            meepo2,3,4: wait for 0.6 sec and all poof.
            meepo1: gets back to base
            meepo2,3,4: poofs in at 2.6 2.65 and 2.7 sec

            but on dota 2, try this:
            meepo1 : teleports
            meepo 2,3,4: starts poofing at 2 seconds.
            meepo1 : gets back to base
            meepo 2,3,4: animation stops once meepo 1 successfully teleports.
            so to recap, the other meepos all stop their poof right when meepo 1 finishes teleport.

            in this situation i think it gives unfair disadvantage to meepo.
            for all heros in dota, it takes 2.5 seconds to transfer back to safty, but 4.5 seconds for meepo.

            btw.. i'm just guestimating that teleporting takes 2.5 seconds.

              furthermore:

              (L) -------(distance)------ (target) if lina needed to stun a target but the indicating circle is too far, lina moves closer
              walk (L)--(distance)-------(target)

              but for meepo it just nets closer, which loses the whole meaning if the indicating range
              (M) ------(distance) --------(target)
              (M) ------(distance) -(net)--(target)
              so basically i'm throwing the net where the circle indicates, but it just falls short

                please read up the thread Meepo's earthbind slow animation and see if you can provide the missing link that some users of the forum are still searching for.

                tested with lvl 1-4 net and it behaves the same in dota 2 (runs into range). no bug here unless you didnt mention something.
