If valve thinks it's necessary it doesn't make it necessary... It means that they will keep playing around with it til it works, but there are always other solutions to problems and you shouldn't be so close minded - it's in development and they're taking community feedback for a reason.

And I am saying this having never been in low priority, or mutebanned, so your "Prove it" isn't going to work either.

And besides, it's in no way Valve's responsibility nor in their ability/resources to fix this "word war", which has been going on for as long as online gaming has existed.

I can almost imagine Gabe Newell being shocked/concerned in his office saying: "Oh no, a lot of people in my Dota2 behave badly and use offensive language to each other, we must do something about this!"
To which I would say: "Thanks, but it's not necessary"
As I've said before: Can you prove it? And if Valve thinks it's necessary, then it is necessary, it's not your call.

Hard for him to proof it. Do you even see a reason why you are muted anyway? It should show more information imo so people know why and from what game etc.

And regardless if people are banned for the right reasons the system is horrible.

    started a topic Reasoning?

    Reasoning?

I'd really like to know why this chat ban feature was implemented. I'm almost permanently muted and I haven't done anything. ~100 hours left on my latest chat ban and it's getting really annoying. I can't communicate with team to line up kills/ coordinate strategy/let them know why I'm pinging (IE, need to counter ward, tell which specific hero I saw vanish into fog of war, and many others). This chat ban system is obviously getting abused and I see lots of other posts complaining about it. I think valve should have a vote to see if the community actually appreciates this feature, or if they would like to be rid of this plague.
Working...
