Skewer stuns pounced targets.

  • Skewer stuns pounced targets.

When either Rubick or Magnus skewers an enemy that is currently under the effects of the pounce leash, they are stunned for the remainder of the pounce duration. Almost entirely certain this is a bug, but just checking here to make sure it's not the same in dota 1.

As far as I can tell whichever finishes last wins in WC3 DotA, the target repeatedly teleports between the two locations until one finishes.

        You're stunned while skewered.
The problem is that the pounce debuff is turned into a stun by skewer, effectively extended.

I imagine it's just a different form of this bug

Currently, if Pounce lasts longer, the target will be disabled for the rest of the duration, being unable to cast or attack. Is this the same in wc3 dota?

From playdota: When an enemy hero is leashed, it takes 70/140/210/280 magic damage, and is unable to move more than 325 distance away from Murloc Nightcrawler's landing spot for 3.5 seconds (moving more than 100 distance away in less than 0.03 seconds will break the leash).

In other words, if Skewer would cause the target to move more than 100 distance from the max range within 0.03, it'll break. In other words, if you skewer more than 100 range beyond the leash range, it'll break.

You aren't stunned under skewer, disarm maybe. (I'm not sure thou) If a skill already being cast before skewer it'll land and your skewer may interrupts. Try Enchant Totem+Afertshock.

                  Yes, you are.
Just try casting a spell like Shadow Walk while skewered, it's instant yet you cannot cast.
Skewer WILL interrupt, if it didn't then Skewer did not impact in time.

In Dota 1 I imagine you weren't stunned though, instead unable to act by being repeatedly trigger-moved, which means you should actually be able to cast instant spells (nothing else, though).
I'm not sure though, I haven't actually played Dota 1 much, it may be that IF went the extra length to make it a stun proper, but I doubt it.

Test it yourself... It doesn't break for whatever reason - I am not totally sure, but magnus' charge definitely moved the target more than 100 units outside of the pounce leash (it probably checks position just prior to returning the unit to the leash, then skewer TP's them again, it checks the new skewer location, less than 100 in 0.03 seconds from the previous skewer location, rinse and repeat --> It doesn't check distance from the pounce leash at all)
