Afk Matches that takes up to 10h, Battle Points abuse?

    Actually if 10 of the players got BB for TI3 I could get 500exp for a 60mins-70mins game so afking for 10h only getting 2500points is not worth

      Well first they place their Heroes on the Lanes so they automatically keep attacking the creeps all the time.
      And after 10h+ they look back and finish the game, and get alot of Battle Points and Items.

        i'm pretty sure you'd get equal if not more BP for simply playing 10 games in those 10 hours

          What can you get from 10h worth of battlepoints? maybe 1 mythical that is worth few $?
          How much electricity you use to keep pc up for 10h?

          How they even stay alive at lane lets say at 7h? Creeps gets stronger at every x minute and if those heros at lanes dont have 6 slots I dont think they will stay alive.

            If they reduce the cpu usage to minimum it shouldn't cost that much. They may also download stuff or idle in TF2 in the meantime to make up for the cost

            Also note that on the screenshot, some people are disconnected. It could be just 2 people keeping the game going, then the rest reconnects and gets their treasure (yes, leavers get items from games they left)

            Also they can stay alive because creeps will fight each other so it will be roughly even. If they get characters with almost equal base damage and main stat gain (or just make up for the difference using items) then the lane will be stalled permanently. If a creep or 2 survive and smack a player, it wouldn't kill them anyway because they naturally gain strength through levels. After 10 hours there's probably like 50 creeps bashing each other so it may be harder, but you can always pick ranged heroes with good strength gain and the regen ring for good measure. They can also let the lane get pushed to one side, then tower hug, then creep wave will go back and forth. It probably took a lot of trial and error to set it up perfectly without accidentally killing someone and therefore ending up getting the ancient

            I just don't understand... How did they arrange this? Private lobbies don't give any battle points

                  if no1 is controling lanes first tower dieas @ 20min if i remember correct and 2 @ 40min and later they get rax lanes wont be same for 10 hours if no1 is waching them and you cant leave your hero in lane to autoattack if all creeps would die then heros would start to fight or lane would push more and so on so they where doing something more then just leaving afk

                    They just stand right outside where the creep equilibrium is. When one wave wins there are only a couple creeps left. They move up and die to hero. Now it is reset and the equilibrium is balanced. It isn't hard to understand...

                      After the long, long match their stats look somewhat like this: http://i.imgur.com/yMM2EU3.png

                      They then proceed to queue for game and leave instantly. They get a levelup + new item. Rinse and repeat.

                      In the end they make a lot of items for little effort. (Just let your character afk for battle points and later you queue and keep abandoning for easy items.) Not to mention how many games they destroy that way.

                        they can just farm enough to get their heroes lifesteal and leave them all at tier 3 towers to defend forever

                          This abuse is really popular in Russia. You get around 4500 battle points for a 10 hour long game. This will end in 2 weeks, so what's the problem?

                            okay so dota has always been like this people play their games they way the wanted there are 10 people in game who wants to play a game and drag it for 10 hours sure they can do it. its their choice its their match. when none of the 10 people who played the match are complaining why are u ?.

                              I'll explain with apples to you

                              They engage a team matchmaking game which goes on for 10 hours (no problem here)
                              They receive 4500 battle points by that game (cuz of compendiums)
                              Since they have more than 1000 Points the bug the Level bar
                              The bugged level bar gives them an item (level up) for every single game
                              they queue, get to pick phase and leave
                              they receive items joining a 1 minute game
                              they repeat and farm items

                              THERE'S THE PROBLEM

                              Valve should delete their entire inventories, the problem it's that is not that easy to find the ones abusing this shit

                                Nah, it's not the bugged level bar. They just level up more than 2 levels per game and game keeps "processing" it the following games. This part is intended i guess.

                                They exploit the following:
                                1. afk kicking is not working in the team matchmaking, you can actually even leave a team matchmaking game and you'll still be considered ingame;
                                2. It is easy to find your "opponents" if you configure search with some unused parameters, like Russian server > Chinese language.
