  • Puck: Phase Shift and blink, no damage from rupture

    EDIT: Horrible english, sorry

Would someone tell me, if this is intented:

    1. pick puck and let bloodseeker rupture you
    2. you use shift after the initial cast, so you can use blink
    3. blink out (shit queue your blink and double tapp blink)
    4. No damage received - blink range: 1200, rupture treshold: 1300. Why no damage?

This is a correct bug report. Rupture doesn't damage puck if puck blinks instantly from phase-shift (blinks in the direction he's already facing, if he has to turn, damage will be dealt).

Also, for some reason rupture disables blinkdagger with both the initial cast and whenever the target moves, and it shouldn't since it's HP removal (unless there's an special trigger I haven't heard of).

Nah. It's a valve problem. You should never be able to dodge the damage from rupture, since it should affect you even if you're invulnerable (unless of course you move more than 1300 in 0.25 seconds)

Oh right, I wasn't thinking straight. Of course the new Rupture should be one hundred per cent unavoidable. But this was indeed a bug when it dealt pure damage, it shouldn't ignore puck if he was invulnerable before blinking.

Weeeell, this was written in 6.78 changelogs

          - Rupture damage is now HP loss
This causes it to go through Magic Immunity now

It seems like the only intention here was to make it ignore magic immunity. Reminds me on Centaur's ulti and the walking through cliffs and trees beeing an uninteded thing in DotA1.
This is a case where we really need a word from the developers.
          Please, just call me buny.

Stampede's cliff-walking thing doesn't have an elegant solution though, whereas Rupture working on Invulnerable units could easily be fixed if it was unintended.
