  • Wall of Replica, Illusion Damage too low

    Hi guys, this is regarding the damage output of darkseer's wall of replica illusions.

    I have tested it in a private game and found that the illusions are doing much less damage than expected. They are supposed to do 90% damage at lvl3.
    I noticed the damage was too low in pub games so I used a private against bots to test the actual numbers.

    Case 1 : Illusions' items are taken into consideration when calculating damage output

    Result : Gave pudge multiple divine rapiers. Damage per hit was around 500. Illusion damage was around 88.

    Case 2: Illusions' items are NOT taken into consideration when calculating damage output and only the base stats are taken into account.

    Result : Allowed pudge to stack flesh heap till his base damage was around 300. Damage per hit was around 330. No items. Illusion damage still below 100.


    Query: Please explain the above. Why are the illusions not doing 90% of the hero damage? Please note, I did not check illusion damage by clicking on the hero and looking at the damage written there (that is fake damage for the illusions). I went to the damage console thingie and checked the damage per hit, and this matched the hp loss that I viewed in the game.

    It should be 90 percent of the base damage, so try it again with 50++ stacks of Flesh Heap(as that would add to the base damage, or you could give him +Strength items, such as Heart of Tarrasque)?
    I will mercilessly add to my ignore list anyone that makes an incredibly annoying signature.

      Raw damage shouldn't be applied -> Divine Rapiers are useless.

          Well as I said, I already tried stacking flesh heap. It didnt make ANY difference. I had no items on pudge, just pure flesh heap providing me with the STR required for 300+ dmg per hit. And the illusion did a bit less than 100 damage per hit.

            there is some difference in dota2 to dota 1 or call it 'Bugs; Valve will take more than 1 year to fix them'
            flesh heap strength does not apply for illusions

              That's because currently Pudge and Silencer illusions (and Slark) doesn't get the extra stat the original have

                Thanks, I did not know that. Tried it with 5 hearts, and this time it worked. The illusion did 90 percent of the damage.
