  • Weird glitch related to wards/movement

I dont know how to reproduce it or if the issue is known already. Happened to me like 2 times, near the rosh pit and near the tier 1 radiant middle tower. Basically when i rightclicked ground somewhere on the screen covering a placed ward, my hero was moving towards the ward instead the direction i pointed. Feels like you have a huge ward on the screen and trick is not to click it. Example - ward is placed on the bottom of the screen, say cliff in radiant jungle under roshpit, you are standing in the middle of the screen and pointing your rightclick to move somewhere around the area near your hero, so instead of walking in the direction you pointed, you will be walking towards the ward on the bottom, no matter what. Is anyone else having this?

It might be better if you make a screenshot and draw circles in paint.

        Match ID: 245690973

        Player Perspective: Slardar

        Replay timestamp: 0:21:34 to 0:21:47

Watch in slowmotion, pay attention to movement orders and observe Observer Ward (Radiant tier 1 mid tower).
Just for the record, im using 4:3 screen. Maybe its somehow corrupting ward size in some special spots and it acts like it would literally be covering most of your screen but you cant see this.

I had a weird bug related to wards in a league match, similar to this somehow. I was playing visage, had a ward on the enemy base and when we were pushing, tried to move familiars over the enemy heroes but they just stood over the ward. I thought somehow my ctrl-2 was selecting the ward, believing micro-system is failing at some point (im having a hard time microing units, when before the patch i was kinda awesome at this). Now, reading this topic, it somehow makes sense and im believing that actually when i tried to move familiars forward to dire fountain, they were just behaving like this topic says, going to the ward.

Cant post a match ID since it is a "practice" match.

OK i dont get how no one else is reporting in this topic, is there another one? Or the 99% of players dont use wards?

Im totally tired of this bug, it is breaking gameplay by a lot, last night spent like 5-7 seconds doing clicks far away of a ward and still being redirected to it. I dont think i can post the match ID since it is a lobby.

Known Gameplay bug, present in the list of known bugs as Moderate 1.

Basically in rare circumstances (maybe a few percent of wards placed) the hitbox for the ward floats high above it. With the right camera angle it can take up much of the screen. See:
