Well they would only need to change the spawn point or delay the time the creeps spawn for the very first creep wave...after that its all the same anyway. but blocking those super fast creeps is difficult when they end up phasing through you because they are too fast.

If you shifted the spawn forward/backward , the push gameplay would be affected largely as well as hero blocking. It is literally the only safe way to change the meta without affecting the map too much.

I've creep blocked my safe lane a few times since 6.79 without any trouble. Not sure about the problem OP is having....

So you're saying that they move at a certain ms, and then it rapidly goes up for a moment, after which it drops again? Well then, it would maybe be good to just give safelane creeps a constant boost in ms. Or even reduce ms of offlane creeps a bit (although it would make blocking much easier)

Anyway, the idea is that it's simple to criticize something but if you think about this particular situation, they (the devs) didn't have much choice. You can argue this and that's fine. However, a thread that complains about something being 'lazy' doesn't bring anything good to the developers and/or community.
Meh, just Meh. I made this whole thread because, from a programmers point of view, the method used is crude, easy, and hence lazy.
It's a really simple thought process, if you were to ask yourself the same as the devs did: How do we make them meet in another place?
Then you'll (hopefully) see what I mean by lazy, because (and again I'm not saying I know how it should be doing nor am I saying "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!") there are many other options to make the exact same result appear.

Different spawn point would be a radical change (not that 6.79 patch wasn't, but that's another discussion) and the overall implications towards the game would be bigger. A small example would be the positioning of the defending team in a situation where the opposite team is trying to destroy the TI3 tower of the hard lane.

Different pathing would also make blocking the wave harder. And there are some complicated mechanics with the collision detection between the creeps that would also require modifications if you were to modify the path of the creepwave.

I don't like being unable to block creeps properly either, and the movement speed boost is clearly not a perfect solution, but your complaint is inadequate because you do not actually give an appropriate alternative.

A more streamlined approach to make the creeps meet in a different spot, such as changing where they spawn; leaving the creep blocking skills etc, the same.

Again, I'm fine with the "new meta".
All I'm pointing out, and I guess complaining about, is the method and technical aspect of what makes it so.
