Note: I previously submitted this as a gameplay bug. But I think it should be here in the map issues area, so I'm posting it here. A moderator can delete the duplicate out of the gameplay bugs area if needed.
I have 6,500+ camps stacked. And with so many camps stacked, I should know if there are any problems with camp stacking. And there are a few inconsistencies.
DIRE SIDE:
1) hard camp closest to top lane: super easy to stack. Creeps leave spawn box for 7 seconds if you remove a tree and pull towards lane, otherwise creeps leave spawn box for 6 seconds.
2) medium camp closest to rune: super easy to stack. Creeps leave spawn box for 7 seconds.
3) medium camp closest to dire base: hard to stack. Creeps only leave the spawn box for 4 seconds.
4) small camp closest to top lane: super easy to stack. Creeps leave spawn box for 7 seconds when pulled to the lane.
5) hard camp closest to dire base: super easy to stack. Creeps leave spawn box for 7 seconds.
Totals: 4 super easy-to-stack camps, 1 hard-to-stack camp.
RADIANT SIDE:
1) hard camp closest to bottom lane: inconsistent difficulty. Creeps leave spawn box for 7 seconds if you pull AWAY from the lane, otherwise if you pull diagonally toward lane they leave spawn box for only 3 seconds. By "diagonally" i mean pulling them south east. This is significant because in order to both stack the camp AND pull the camp into the incoming creep wave at the same time, you must pull them diagonally. The same is true for the dire side hard camp, it also must be pulled diagonally. The difference is, the radiant side spawn box is positioned much worse than the dire side for doing this diagonal pull, so that the creeps only leave the spawn box for 3 seconds if you do this on the radiant side, but they leave for 7 seconds doing the exact same thing on the dire side hard camp.
2) medium camp closest to rune: hard to stack. If you remove trees to the left, they leave the spawn box for 5 seconds when pulled left. If you don't remove the trees, they must walk around the trees, which slows them down if they are already stacked. If you pull right, they leave spawn box for only 3 seconds.
3) medium camp closest to radiant base: hard to stack. Creeps only leave the spawn box for 3 seconds.
5) small camp closest to bottom lane: inconsistent difficulty: when pulled to the lane, creeps only leave spawn box for 3 seconds. If pulled left, they leave spawn box for 5 seconds, but must walk around trees which slows them down especially if they are already stacked.
4) hard camp closest to radiant base: hard to stack. Creeps only leave the spawn box for 4 seconds.
Totals: 2 inconsistent camps, 3 hard-to-stack camps.
Conclusion: Radiant side is much harder to stack camps than dire side.
Update:
Follow-up in case nobody thinks this issue isn't important....
It is theoretically possible to stack a camp approximately +1 times for each second that the creeps are able to leave a camp.
So for camps where the creeps will leave the camp for 7 seconds, you can stack those camps up to a maximum of 7 times.
But for camps where the creeps only leave the camp for 3 seconds, you can only triple stack them at the most.
So most dire side camps can be stacked 6-7 times. But most radiant side camps can only be stacked 2-3 times. I'd say that's pretty imbalanced. Strategies built around stacking camps will find the dire side to be much easier.
