    I might be in the wrong forum since this is my first post, but here goes anyway.

    The base sizes of wc3Dota and Dota 2 are different, where Dota 2's base sizes are smaller and more compact.

    With Luna's moon glaive abilities, the glaives now bounce from the raxes, to the auxilary structure behind the rax, then to the tower and to somewhere else. This couldn't be done in wc3Dota.

    I'm not one of those players that whine about "why is this different from the original and sh't", but wasn't the concept of Dota 2 based on recreating the exact same game that required the same level of skill but better?

    I don't really know what to suggest for a fix considering that changing the overall size of the bases would change the gameplay drastically. just wanted to put the issue out that Luna's glaives are ridiculously overpowered in terms of destroying base structures in Dota 2.

    Confirmed: Luna's glaives can jump from t3 tower, to rax, to inbetween buildings, to t4 tower.

    Is this working as intended, or considered as a bug?

      Yeah I just had a game as Luna and while attacking middle rax the base was literally FILLED with glaives, jumping on the nonfunctional buildings left and right of the rax, but also behind the rax, onto the ancient towers and from there onto the next nonfunctional buildings. Ann all back and forth, of course.

      It's kind of funny to watch but it's a bit over the top.

      Maybe reduce the glaive search range for buildings so it only jumps behind the rax if a unit is around as bouncer.

        They don't bounce off the towers usually because the raxes are invulnerable as long as the tower is alove. The glaives do start raping the base after the tower is down though. Whether or not this is a holdover from WC3, it does seem unintuitive, plus it looks silly.

            Glaives used to be bouncing between barracks, but that was changed ages ago. The rax were positioned a bit away from each other so the glaives wouldn't bounce anymore, and disallowing easy destruction.

            The devs would have to reposition the rax, change their sizes, or whatever to fix this; but I honestly doubt that's ever going to happen so just deal with it

              Your last comment is ignorant and silly. I honestly think it should stay the way it is though, luna needs all the buffs she can get despite how unintentional they are :P

                I don't know about this. She is currently placed as the 5th highest win rate hero with 56.79% (http://stats.dota2.be/herostats).

                Back to the topic, I do believe this helps her but it's really not overpowered in any way as other pushing spells will have same or greater impact on buildings in general. The base are great as they are and the glaives are working fine, why fix what is not broken
                The world is black and white. On one side there are those who are right, complain about valve, spam unhelpfully and everyone who disapprove what you are doing are obviously valveknights.

                  i was laughing at this thread till I saw your post. Luna is so easy to kill especially if she doesnt have a bkb. She really CAN use all the buffs she can get.

                  FIX MMR POINTS TO BE AWARDED FOR INDIVUDUAL PERFORMANCE RATHER THAN WHOLE TEAM SHARING THE FATE FOR THE FEEDER AND VICE VERSA. SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE +VE MMR POINTS EVEN AFTER A LOSS IF YOU DID REALLY WELL.
                  ADD THE SURRENDER BUTTON SO THE CRUSHED TEAM DOES NOT WASTE >10 MINS AFK AT FOUNTAIN
                  ADD SIZE CUSTOMIZATION FOR THE HUD.

                    Those win rates are meaningless, look at some of the strongest heroes like Pugna, Wisp and Broodmother on the bottom of the list, and Treant being the top hero when he is mostly garbage after hes been nerfed.

                    People just don't know how to gank Luna, they walk alo0ne and then she ulties and poof double kill. Luna just isn't a strong hero so what? if she can get some extra gold while sieging the enemy base it's not gamebreaking in anyway..

                    Simple and obvious things that should get fixed/added asap: SCOREBOARD, Ingame friend list, Different Ping for Roshan, Add Notes to Players, Accept Button while tabbed

                      went back to wc3 dota to check, only the scourge non-functional towers could be hit by the glaives. and only 2 or 3 of them could be hit.
                      glaives bouncing between buildings is indeed an intended function but I highly doubt that the ability to lay waste to an entire base was intended lol.

                      ^ agreed. because luna came out recently all of these winrates are meaningless. just take a look at the number of games played on each hero. pudge has like 3.5million games, treant has like almost 400k games and luna is right under 300k.
                      anyway this is a little off-topic lol.

                        In Dota, Luna's Glaives would bounce around like in Dota 2 only in the SENTINEL/RADIANT base, it did not work against the Scourge/Dire side, so i think this should stay as it is. Both sides have the same advantage, and to say this is unlike Dota is preposterous.

                          @Topic:
                          Lunas glaives are meant to only bounce between Melee/Ranged Rax and the ancient's two towers afaik.
                          For me this is the real reason behind her "win rate".

                            This. In DotA it worked only against Sentinel, here it works vs both. And when you play vs a hero, you play vs their niche, bouncing glaives are Luna's niche, deal with it.

                              You can't have glaives bouncing around the base. It's just unfair especially if she gets uber fed.

                              This is definitely gamebreaking, especially to close matched games.
