That will probably be the last thing to think. First heros then stuff like the tutorials. It could even come after game realease

when matchmaking, the game could be played on standard map, winter map or I dont know, deset map for all players. Not just something you chose personally, as stated before could give advantage to some players. Adding random weather effects that dont affect gameplay could be cool too.

This would be bad, as—unlike small, barely noticeable cosmetics—different colored maps could provide an advantage or disadvantage. Of course, were it available to all players, or the games simply played on different maps, then I don't see a problem with it. Just not as an item that must be acquired for use.

This is not about physics or forces or completely new maps.

What I think the OP meant is DTM(dota theme manager) alternative for Dota2.

Basicaly it allows you to change the theme of the map, like floor, color of trees, etc. The geographical positions on the map stay exactly the same, as well as game mechanics.

I think it is possible to add some physics / new game mechanis to DotA as long as u have the option to play classic dota

But this is something which should be discussed after finish developping the game.

Wind blowing through the trees, or tree movement from certain non-tree destroying effects would be awesome. Winter snows, rain, a frozen river, autumn coloured trees... Valve could simply sell "season" packages to modify the way the map looks. It would be pretty awesome imo

When you use tango it does affect the trees for some time.

physics and forces dont have to change the whole game. Wind in trees/grass etc. making it feel a bit more dynamic.
ofc. you cant make the heroes effect the trees so it would tell the enemy where you are without vision. but they could still do something about all the frozen plants/trees/leaf and Weather.

And if someone dies from PA crit it would be cool to see the corpse/ragdoll get thrown back with the attack effect, really feeling the impact... With Agis you should ofc respawn at the location of death (tombstone location).

physics and forces can't play a bigger role, then that would change the whole game!

However back on Topic, I like the suggestion for different maps.

Id rather have they improved the current one to be outstanding. they could integrate random weather/terrain changes. And make physics and forces play a bigger role!
