  • Trees should respawn faster

    Currently, trees spawn 5 minutes after they are destroyed rather than in 5 minutes intervals.

    I don't mind the change but I find the time to be somewhat problematic.

    Before, you would get AT MOST 5 minutes of those trees destroyed, while right now it is GUARANTEED 5 minutes of destroyed trees. Heroes such as BM can take some trees when pushing and know that they will not appear for the next 5 minutes and that makes their tree chopping ability stronger since on average they would keep the trees chopped for 3 minutes (here I am assuming smart players, else 2min 30secs).

    I think the trees respawning time should be lowered to no more than 4 minutes to keep the abilities more similar to their DotA counterparts since now the tree destroying ability is too strong compared to DotA.

    I've always felt like trees stay down longer in d2 compared to d1 but never looked into why. Thanks for pointing this out.

          it is intended on Dota2
          BAD person is someone who only think that he/she is a pro and others are noob and then blame the Matchmaking challenge.
          GOOD person is someone who accept the Matchmaking challenge and succeeded getting a teamwork in his/her team

                the question is, when do you normally cut down trees apart from some very exotic pushing strats?
                the answer is in the laning phase.
                in many cases (jokepoint jungling, preparing doublepulls with quelling blade) those trees are cut down within the first minute granting them a respawntime of around 4:xx minutes.
                lowering that time below 4 minutes might make life harder for heroes like melee junglers and supporters who pull within the first 5 minutes (unless they use tangos or carry a quelling blade).
                all other scenarios are less likely and shouldnt have more weight in this decision.

                  Just make the trees start respawning from the 5:00 minute mark o.o

                  Besides there are heroes like Broodmother that destroys trees frequently and during all game stages in order to make it harder to get ganked, another one includes Prophit who with faster trees respawn will have to cast less sprouts in the game, other things like Beast Master and Lina are kind of minor but those 2 are quite significant, particularly for Prophit during jungle in which he kind of makes it a savanna rather than a jungle.
