  • Abandon-low priority

Is absolutely worthy of ridicule. It is known many have compatibility issues with dota 2 and I am no exception to spontaneous ISP disconnections. Restarting and rebooting may exceed 5 minutes. Pauses? No. Pub shits do not budge. The outcome? Five mandatory brutal low-priority matches with limpdicks who play like it is warcraft. The previous 24hr some wait is way more rational and a system to distinguish intentional from unavoidable abandons is very needed

    Impossible.

Possible. Connection errors are displayed if ISP related. That is the cue. "But ragers will unplug their modems to evade and exploit...." is also true, so excessive ISP abandons will log and determine the severity of punishment. My point being, the punishment for accidental first-timers is just bizarre because it is unavoidable.

Hmm... Good point. After all, I doubt ragers will exploit it since they are raging. Therefore, they will just go straight ahead and quit.

          No it wasn't.

Was hardly a punishment at all.

Read again. Different levels of severity for each strike.

And since valve does not allow win rates to exceed 50% (or whatever the cap is), players are placed in scrub matches as part of their shitty effort to balance out skill discrepancies. You win five games, you will lose five games. This way, faith is restored into the most prestigious noobs, a sense of upbringing and they ultimately stick around to play the game longer (it's all about the numbers, valve cares less of your analyzations and how things are administered). However, in low priority, the large discrepancies they try to avoid most is tripled.

Edit: After realizing the truth above, no games have been taken serious since. Now in every game it's all about going rambo with my army of couriers. Even as Io. It's more exciting than the actual game where you are barred from winning.
