  • Dota on Ubuntu is unplayable (LOW FPS)

I tried installing Dota 2 on Ubuntu 13.10 but the game is unplayable, on Windows on my PC i can play on max settings, but on Ubuntu even on lowest i have like 1fps.

I have latest ATI driver installed.

    CPU: i7-2600k
    Mobo: Asrock P67-Pro3
    GPU: HD 5770 1GB

    Any ideas?

Are you using the proprietary drivers provided by ATI or are you using the Nouveau drivers? The Nouveau drivers are only meant for office work, not for gaming.

By this I mean going to System Settings -> Software Sources -> Tab to Additional Drivers.
