  • Dota 2 api rendering keeps popping up after clicking yes

Hello everyone, I have recently formatted my laptop and after I downloaded Dota 2 again, it has this message that I could have better frame rates if I change my api rendering to dx11. I have encountered this message before (First time I installed dota2 before formatting my laptop) and after I clicked yes it instantly opened dota 2. But now, I am clicking the yes option but instead of opening the game, it pops up again and again until I press the no option.

Part 2: When you press the no option, it opens dota 2 but when you try to change the api in game, it will still go back to dx9 even after applying the changes. Look at the Screenshots below of the video recording for reference, also I don't know if you noticed but my dota 2 cursor got bigger too after i click apply changes (from dx9 to dx11). Hope you guys can help me with this problem, I have been experiencing low frame rates, even when I set my launch options to -dx11. I have played this game before I formatted my laptop and I can easily cap my frames to 120 and have no problems, but now, even if I cap my game to 120 fps it can reach that mark but during midgame it only becomes 90-100 fps. I have an Nvidia rtx2070 and Intel 10 th gen processor, so I do not really know what's wrong, any help is appreciated thanks!

I have the exact same problem as I formatted my laptop too. I tried using -dx11 on launch option, the 'change rendering api' message does stop popping up but my dota 2 launch in black screen without cursor and just with sound. Any help will be much appreciated!

Sadly I have not found any solutions yet. I still only use the -dx11 option.
