  • Game Crashes after Match at Quest Screen

    Issue:
Since Update 7.28 (c i think) the game crashes after every match. (Mostly play Turbo but happens in other modes as well).
Severeral of my friends have the same Issue.

    Description:
After the match the MVP Screen works just fine.
When the game switches over to the quest/clanquest screen the crash occurs right when the clanquest Updates.
I cannot get into the Scoreboard after that.
The Game just closes without error.

Game is installed on a 2nd SSD.

    Steps to try to fix:
    • Check for corrupted files.
    • Reinstall Game.
    • Update graphics drivers.
    • Use another rendering API. (dx11 -> vulkan)
    • Lower graphics settings.
    • Started the game with parameters -novid -dx11.
    • Also -safestart and -autoconfig.
    • Could not test on a different machine.
    • Could not test with different account.

    Workaround:
    Start dota2.exe with Administrator privileges.
    Pls fix this.

    Rambling:
Told the Valve Game Support the same stuff.
They Reccommended I should Upgrade my machine and post it to the community forums. (not this forum here)
    I do believe that a 1070GTX, a Ryzen 5 3600 a 500GB SSD and DDR4-2132 RAM (2 Sticks at 2/16GB) should be more than enough to run Dota 2.
Especially when it worked just fine before the patch.

    Quick Update:
I tried setting the dota2.exe to start as admin and started the game from the Steam menu.
    It crashed again.
Also i started the dota2.exe manually without admin rights and the crash did not occur.

Is the "-language EN" startup command broken?

Removed all parameters from startup aaand the game works from steam again.
I don't want to play on German tho...
Apprectiated if this could be fixed.

Removing "-language en" from start commands fixes the Issue.
Setting Steam to English also fixes the Issue of Dota2 being on another Lanuage than selected in the Options.
