  • Vulkan API issue

After installing the latest patch, I received a notification asking whether I wanted to use a certain API. Ever since, while in-game the screen flickers black occasionally - everything goes black except health bars and units, which I only see an outline of, unless I hover over them. It comes and goes every few seconds. And whenever the screen is up OK, there is a blurry bright outline around units that I hover my mouse over (red light around dire units, white around radiant).

The notification said that I could revert using "-safe_mode" in launch options. I have tried this, but it makes no difference. (Seen instructions for -safe_mode saying that you should click "OK" after entering in Launch Options, but I am on a mac, and there is no option here to click "OK"... is it working?). I tried reducing the image quality settings, but that didn't work. I have also tried reinstalling and restarting my computer.

    Any help appreciated - thanks.

It is now fixed. I had to force it back to the OpenGL API, by typing in "-gl" into launch options.
