  • Dota 2 running from Steam crashes on old PC

I have installed Dota 2 from Steam on my old PC running windows 10. I am new to Dota and have not played the game before.
The game crashes on the startup screen - that is to say, when I open the game, I can see the dota logo and after 30 seconds, I can hear some music with a blank screen. After that the Dota2 cinematic plays ending with the Dota2 logo and then the welcome screen appears with all the options like settings, play game options etc and then crashes (I am not able to click anything in that screen). No error message are displayed.

    Here is my system configuration:
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz 2.94 GHz
    Primary Memory : 4GB
    OS : Windows 10 Pro
Video Card : Sparkle GeForce 210 with 1GB memory

Here are the options I tried:
    • Restarted the system
    • Reinstalled dota / Steam
    • Updated, reinstalled the graphics driver of the video card
    • Tried to run it from the onboard graphics card (on mother board Asus P5G41T-M LX3)
    • Updated the Bios to the latest version.
    • Verify the file integrity of the dota installation in steam.
    • Increase virtual memory to 4096MB
    • Running Steam and Dota2 in compatibility mode for Windows 7
    • Run dota using launch options such as, -safe, -windowed, -nod3d9ex.
    • Tried running the 32-bit binary of the dota2 from win32

and pretty much everything on the internet when I searched the problem. But the result is the same - it crashes at the welcome screen where the wizard says something like"the dota logo not only reminds you of what game you play but also the home screen"

I ran out of options and finally decided to post it in this forum.

I have also attached the latest crash dump (which seems to be the log file to me)

Thank you very much for your time,
