  • Activating morph's agility gain (E spell) has a huge performance impact

Activating morph's agility gain (E spell) has a huge performance impact. It drops my fps on my Q6600 from 55~ fps constant to 20.

bump..no 1 ability should have this big of a performance impact compared to everything else in this game

Activating morph's agility gain (E/D spell) has a disproportionate performance impact

Activating morph's agility gain (E spell) has a disproportionate performance impact compared to any other spell in the game, I'm guessing because it spawns way too many particle effects around the hero. It drops my fps on my Q6600 from 55~ fps constant to 30.

I've never heard someone complaining about this and I don't see any FPS spikes when using it. Is your graphics driver up to date? Or rather, did you use different versions (as up to date can even be a problem, sadly ).
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

As I said this is on a medium to low-end PC obviously it won't be noticeable on better PCs. Yes drivers are up to date even though they irrelevant regardless as this is the ONLY ability in the game that causes this.

I play with everything maxed and Morph on Morphling does have a huge performance impact. Even the biggest fights with particles and effects everywhere is nothing compared to just morph. It's very strange.

Thanks, performance for a single spell shouldn't be disproportionate to everything else in the game, I hope a mod can put this in the verified bug lists or something

I don't know what others details I can give besides what I've already said, toggling E spell on morph spawns way too many particle effects or something along those lines and it causes a big fps drop on lower end computers.

I don't know what other details I can post, it's easily reproduceable by anyone with low to medium end computer.

Tried it on an Q6600/ 8600GTS and on a friend's AMD that I forgot the exact specs for

I am getting constant 60 fps with these settings even in huge teamfights fps remains at 60 but when im in a solo custom game with morph alone and just use the morph ability fps drop to 30-40 without anything else playing

Don't see why these are needed since it's not a local issue and will happen to anyone with low to medium end pcs which makes the cause most likely that the spell spawns too many particle effects or it's too large.

2 other people confirming it here http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=73126
