Update2 : Seems that the problem has not been solved. People are still experiencing Glitches (below). For me this problem is no longer.
Update 27.09.2013 : Fixes previous visual bugs shown below*

Only visual bug seen is the one below** (a glitch line that passes through friends list).The rest is "working as intended" , 1 second to load items , blurs and heroes.

Solution: Thank this man:

They did something to the UI now it reads from the scaleform_cache and loads from resource/flash3

however there are a few exclusions

move these to a backup folder


then create a new folder in dota/

scaleform_cache

inside that folder paste this

Run dota everything should be fine

My computer is not very fast , but it has been running dota2 at low settings nicely for some time now. I've tried changing settings , drivers and reinstalling , with no success .
Fist thing that POPs in your face , HUD missing , items are blurry , and the list of heroes is only a list of colors .

With new patch came the download textures in real time. I have no idea how to turn that feature off sadly.

Just to clear things up: does it last for more than 1-5 seconds? If yes, then it is indeed weird. If it only lasts 1-2 seconds per load (i.e. 1-2 seconds in hero picker, then 1-2 seconds when you enter the map and so on), then it is a hardly avoidable side-effect of texture streaming (newly added this patch).

I have visual glitches when I turn pages of the armory and when choosing heroes, but after a split second it gets back to normal.

EDIT: If this is texture streaming we need an option to turn if off as I can't see any benefit in it. (Never had memory usage problems before.)
