  • Why is theren no option of hosting custom game with dedicated servers localy?

At the moment me and my friends are sitting and staring at "finding server" text for about ten minutes already. We all have great ping to each other and machines that are good enough for hosting a game.

I understand that giving an option to host custom games on your machine could be bad because many people would get inferior experience, but why not give an option to host the game locally if the lobby is private/password protected? It would take at least some load from the servers and give the people who know each other and know that they are able to host games not to wait for very long time\not being forced to play on dedicated servers which could have inferior connection for them.

I understand that it's probably not on the list of priorities right now with reborn being new main client and all, but it's very frustrating for us at the moment, and the is absolutely no reason it has to be so.

I been trying to create a LoD server for 30mins to play alone, its stuck there "finding server". I wish i could just host this locally and be done with...
If you don't have an intelligent reply for me, don't bother I will shred your non sense to pieces.

Anyone know why HOW i can host a custom game and play ALONE to try it? WTF I try to host a LoD game to play alone and it seems IMPOSSIBLE.

I could do that in Dota 2 source 1, but not in reborn anymore... >.<

Severs still don't work and it really highlights how stupid it is to not be able to host a custom game locally.

I dont use it right now. But it does sound like LAN option would be handy for some people
Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
