  • Lobby system for the leaderboard

Remember GG (garena) lobbies capped at 250 slot each? Well, Dota 2 has a matchmaking system which makes this old system redundant. But this isn't true for the top and bottom ends. For the bottom end it wouldn't work since it will be flooded with bots, but the top end? Leaderboard has 200 players plus their friends, and since they are in the same region, their playing hour should be close to each other. As they are the top end of the MMR system, their waiting time is far too long sometime, and there are cases when the automatic system isn't fitted (we saw suma1l case when he threw matches against a techies picker, matches dodged by rtz, low priority etc. a lot of time). So some of them actually went back to the older system like xmike's inhouse league with >5000MMR requirement and manual vouching, which is quite subjective, it solved some of the problems but not all.

So what does this lobby do? Well, like GG times: the host can set up rules for their games (i.e no techies/rank all pick/3vs3/2 games) and bet their solo MMR on the match. Think of it like a semi-automatic system: the easy work can be solved by the machine, but people still have control over some parts of the matchmaking rating. These matches could be voted to be not count by the leaderboard's players to avoid abuses. Winning/lossing MMR in the lobby should count toward trophies and pubstar awards. Yes, it will allow them to dodge matches, but I think giving them more freedom and let the leaderboard community solved themselves is better than a fully automatic system which many of them would bypass/taking them childishly is worse.

P/s: I'm 3k scrubs and my idea is bad, but well I let it out >_>!
