  • [Bug?] height: fit-children; with transition to 0

    This is what I want to achieve, but I can do it only with a fixed height:
    http://gfycat.com/OrneryMisguidedAtlanticspadefish
    Code:
    .TestPanelChildPro
    {
    	height: 200px;
    	background-color: #ff0000;
    	flow-children: down;
    	transition-duration: 1s;
        transition-property: height;
    }

    .JUSTDOIT
    {
    	height: 0px;
    	transition-duration: 1s;
        transition-property: height;
    }
    This is what happens when I try to use height:fit-children instead:
    http://gfycat.com/NarrowActualKouprey
    Code:
    .TestPanelChildPro
    {
    	height: fit-children;
    	background-color: #ff0000;
    	flow-children: down;
    	transition-duration: 1s;
        transition-property: height;
    }

    .JUSTDOIT
    {
    	height: 0%;
    	transition-duration: 1s;
        transition-property: height;
    }
    I have trouble animating height with keyframes (doesnt run at all for some reason, whilst it works for ScaleY/X and that stuff. I also tried using max-height, % etc, but I can't seem to get it to work whilst having dynamic height based on the height of children. I'm fairly sure I can make it work via JS but I'm fairly certain that I should be able to achieve this via CSS. According to most googled answers, this is possible in web-css.

    So, am I doing something wrong or is fit-children bugged in that regard? Also, does anyone know of any css-workaround for this issue?

    Many thanks!

    EDIT: using parent height (height: 100%; etc) also doesnt seem to work, or I'm simply burned-out from this and made a mistake somewhere.

    For the sake of it, here is the code:
    XML: http://hastebin.com/divaqexahu.md
    CSS: http://hastebin.com/oniqulukat.css
    JS: http://hastebin.com/nuzegufule.js
