  • [SUGGESTION] allow particles to be flagged as "always show"

Some abilities, like Pudge's hook, Mirana's arrow, or Jakiro's macropyre, need to always be seen by players, independently of being able to see their owning entities or not.

Currently, you can be standing on top of Macropyre, for example, and not see it at all, as long as Jakiro is in the fog for your team. The same can happen with Hook, Arrow, et cetera.

Please allow us to flag some particles as needing to "always be seen" by players, as long as said particles are not inside the fog of war. Bonus points if this could be set on a player-specific base.

Currently we have some workarounds for this stuff (like using a dummy unit with the desired particle as a model, or with a modifier which attaches the particle to the dummy when it is created), but sometimes those workarounds create unintended behaviors and/or other bugs, and are generally wonky.

If this already exists in some manner, I apologize for the useless topic. The only API function which seems like it could emulate this, SetParticleAlwaysSimulate(), does not work as described here.

    Thanks for your attention!
