  • [Bug]MODIFIER_STATE_INVULNERABLE nullifies ApplyModifier KV

    When an entity is affected by 'MODIFIER_STATE_INVULNERABLE' state, ApplyModifier KV won't apply modifier to that entity.

    Code:
    "ApplyModifier"
    			{
    				"ModifierName"	"my_modifier"
    				"Target"		"TARGET"
    			}
    On the other hand, lua script API 'CDOTA_Ability:ApplyDataDrivenModifier' as well as 'AddNewModifier' can.

    Code:
    keys.ability:ApplyDataDrivenModifier(caster, target, "my_modifier", {})
    keys.target:AddNewModifier(caster, target, "modifier_stunned", {Duration = keys.StunDuration})
    I don't think this inconsistency is intended.

    The ApplyModifier KV should be useed this way to ignore invulnerability:

    Code:
    "ApplyModifier"
    {
        "ModifierName"	"my_modifier"
        "Target"
        {
            "Target" "TARGET"
            "Flags" "DOTA_UNIT_TARGET_FLAG_INVULNERABLE"
        }
    }
    I don't think this behavior should be changed, because otherwise there would be no way to exclude invulnerable units from being affected from modifiers. The same way in Lua, you won't get invulnerable units in your FindUnitsInRadius searches unless you specify the DOTA_UNIT_TARGET_FLAG_INVULNERABLE on the search.

      The ApplyModifier KV should be used with the corresponding flag to ignore invulnerability:

      Code:
      "ApplyModifier"
      {
          "ModifierName"	"my_modifier"
          "Target"
          {
              "Target" "TARGET"
              "Flags" "DOTA_UNIT_TARGET_FLAG_INVULNERABLE"
          }
      }
