  • [Bug]EmitGlobalSound API broken since the patch

    Some vsnd are not properly working with EmitGlobalSound() API. Instead of playing sound globally, it plays sound at Vector(0,0,0).
    This code, for example, plays soundclip locally at Vector(0,0,0) instead of global as if EmitSoundOnLocation was used. This issue was not prevalent before the major patch.

    Try EmitGlobalSound("Hero_LegionCommander.Duel.Victory ") or EmitGlobalSound("Hero_EarthShaker.EchoSlam"). I am sure there are more examples, but these are what I found out so far.

    It occurs to not just Dota 2 sounds but also custom sounds. Perhaps it has something to do with original vsnd's sound properties?
    This is not a precache fiasco as far as I can tell.

    Below is the list of custom sounds in my game broken since new patch. Might be helpful for pinpointing the common ground with above examples.

    I also have this issue! Volvo please this has been broken for ages!

    Sounds like 'General.Buy' play at the Vector(0,0,0)

    However there is a work around
