  • SFM2 bsp maps ?

I've been trying to import some bsp maps into SFM2 but obviously SFM2 only supports vmaps for some reason, where can I download extra vmaps ? and can I convert bsps into vmaps ?
I have my eyes set on this map ---->https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil.../?id=222973754 sadly its on the SFM workshop
    Thank you inadvance

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in current version of SFM2 (which is based on DotA2) the only options are:
    - remaking whole map in Source 2 Hammer
    - recreate that colosseum as a model and import it into session.
    afaik there's no bsp2vmap converter

I think this is right. For quake 3 you could actually convert bsp into dmx and play around with that as a model similar to sim_piko 's second option, but there really isnt a way to do that for the whole map.

My suggestion would be to open the bsp map into the original sfm, figure out what models they might be using for the Colosseum itself, unpaking those, and converting those into usable models in s2fm.

        Alright, Thank you.
Can I find Vmaps on the Dota 2 workshop? because I've searched everywhere and couldn't seem to find them.

vmaps are just maps files built and ran in source 2.

If you want to try and grab the models, you need to unpak the files from whatever game hosts that coliseum map.

You need to get the source vmf from the bsp. BPSSource does this. Once you have the vmf, simply open it in Source2 Hammer and it will convert it. Save it and you've got yourself a vmap!
