    So with todays patch i beileve i could add my unusual essence to my greevil egg but the problem is i did add 2 ue and 1 shadow essence before patch and they look like a exort essence in egg so instead of having 1 shadow essence 3ue on egg there is 3 exort essence and 1ue in egg i go to steam support for it but they said they cant change it ,since its pretty much waste of 24 usd for me i want my essence back or change my egg to 1 se 3ue egg

    (ue = unusual essence, se=shadow essence)

    Devs or steam support maybe can confirm that i never sold those essences nor trade them, i also never bought another greevil egg or merciless greevil egg.

    Valve doesn't get a steady influx of money from past event items, so they don't support those. Basically, this thread is a waste of your time (and indeed, your money).
    I'm curious, why did you choose this method instead of buying the hatched greevil?

      well it was a little cheaper but thats not the case my items has been changed to something that i dont want(bug not supposed to happen)and thats definetly valves fault doesnt matter they earn money or not(which i give by buying parts from steam market) they have to give me support about these items. also i need to remind that all of these items are digital valve doesnt give money to make these items(not including programing) so at least they have to make programing correct and if something goes wrong they need to fix that.Am i wrong? i thought thats what i pay when i buy digital stuff

          Technically you're right, but in this world (and with this company), you're not. Cosmetics only bring in noteworthy amounts of money during their release. After that the individual items become extremely low priority to fix, which is why it takes months to correct any sort of bug with items that is brought about by a later patch. Think of it this way: if your current item no longer works but the recently introduced one looks very nice and works, you're still just as likely to buy the new item as if your old one were working (if not more because your current item is bugged and ugly but look at this shiny new item...). I think you get the idea.

                  You're not the only one with this problem, and those of us afflicted will most likely not receive a compensation for our lost value (unusual essence -> exort ), just like those who bought backpack expander one day before they decided to make it add 120 extra slots.

                  You'd be lucky if they even inform you when it's fixed so hopefully you can try it again in a new egg. But as of now, nobody's willing to be the guinea pig.

                            Did you try to put in a new essence into new egg, because that might be fixed but they won't turn your old egg into new one.
