  • client freezing up, when opening axe's loadout (missing vgui material)

mainly i'm talking about the dota-client freezing up, after entering axe's loadout. i found the reason (see below) for this, but can't fix it at this time. another problem is the mute-function not working for me, even if it is not related to customization, these things didn't happen before the last patch. what happens - if i try to mute someone - is, that the interface registers the click as a click on the name, so it opens up the "report/inspect hero/etc"-scrolldown-menu.

my console, after starting the client:

    Steam config directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\platform\config
No split screen config file 'splitscreen_config.txt', using defaults
ConVarRef fov_desired doesn't point to an existing ConVar

as you can see, some files seem to be missing, which would cause the client to freeze whenever i open up the axe loadout and trying to access mentioned files.

what i tried doing is verifying the integrity of game cache, everything seems to be alright.
what might be an idea for further troubleshooting (concerning the freezing up) is to delete the folder with the missing files, to get it back while verifying the integrity.

tl;dr: got some bugs, want to know if any1 else does, or any opinion on how to fix them

further information: i am using an autoexec.cfg file, i don't know if this could be related to a bug or helps you guys in any way

    managed to fix it

how to: delete the "vgui" folder, verify integrity of game cache through steam

as for the mute-bug, there seems to be no fix yet but you can still mute by clicking on the upper-right-corner beside the mute-button (might take some tries)

I had suffered from this, will try the workaround and report back once I do.
