  • "Uncraftable" tag not visible in trading window

Someone put this in Suggestions, but this is a bug so can you please fix it ASAP?
"Uncraftable" tag should be visible in trading window so we can decide for ourselves whether to accept such items or not,
regardless of the possibility of a crafting system at some point in the future.

I get it, you want to tag items now and add crafting system once everything is said and done,
but since you probably won't remove those tags for the sake of people who traded for these items by mistake,
I suggest you fix it now so you won't have to deal with a shitstorm of complaints later on.

Even if it's just cosmetic and you don't plan on putting in a crafting system (doubt that), the "Uncraftable" tag still devalues an item.

P.S. This tag is not visible in Dota either, but don't care much about that. At this point I just want to be sure what I'm trading for.

I think it is not Dota-developers bug, since it does not matter in Dota2 (matters in TF2).

I guess complains should go to site admins that show "uncraftable" tags on items.

You don't understand - 3rd party websites do NOT create these tags, Steam/Valve does.
3rd party websites only display them correctly, and Dota should too. If not in-game, then at least in trading window.
Otherwise, why create the tag in the first place? Obviously they will add crafting later (most likely),
but for now I'd prefer to see what I'm trading for.

If it will really matter for future crafting, then yes, it should be displayed.

However i still think that does not matter. If they introduce crafting, then i think all current items will be craftable.

Dota is still in beta phase, remember that. It wasn't until some time after publishing TF2 that they introduced crafting,
so it's unrealistic to implement it in Dota while the game itself hasn't been polished yet, let alone published.
So yeah, it's is my firm belief that once the game is published and some time has passed that they will introduce crafting.
And then I have a feeling they won't change anything, because why would they put tags on items in the first place to remove them later?
Why not just put them after introducing crafting? It doesn't make sense.

i think third parties tag items uncraftable if they are purchased and craftable if they are crafted or dropped , so probably its upto valve and i think they will make all the current items craftable as they are if this system is launched. and future purchased items will be uncraftable.

Thats more likely yep. Items may have "purchased" marking.
And since TF2 "purchased" items can't be used in crafting, then site applies the same logic to Dota2 items.
