  • New Dota 2 Item Workshop Guideline Web Pages

We’ve updated the Dota 2 Item Workshop Guidelines. You’ll be able to access all the links from http://www.dota2.com/workshop/

    • These guidelines provide instruction and insights for those new to the Dota 2 item workshop as well as experienced contributors
    • Instructions and examples have been updated to Source 2
    • The former pdf art guidelines are updated and are now web pages that are able to be localized
    • Guidelines have been expanded to address more item needs for Dota 2

This is just a start. These pages will be easier for the Dota 2 economy team to update and more information will be added in the future. We hope you’ll find these updated pages useful. Please let us know your feedback. Your support of the Dota 2 Workshop is appreciated!

Hi! That gonna be possible again to create and share a HUD on the workshop?
      Or this feature is over?
      Thanks

So, if I'm reading the new guidelines correctly, custom animations are out? Any chance they'll be reintroduced at some point?

It seems like this is just an initial thrust into putting the guidelines into a more manageable space. It's mostly the same information as before (except for some updated screenshots and a few bits of information regarding polycount and such) so I think there will be more added later on. If you notice, HUDs as well as some other submissions are not incorporated into the new guidelines (yet, hopefully!) so we will likely see it updated periodically.
