  • In-game chat disables the Steam Client Party Chat VOIP functionality.

When playing the reborn beta, it seems to take control of the microphone. The Steam client's party feature, that my friends and I use regularly when the servers aren't down, mentions "Microphone in Use By Game" and prohibits me from communicating with my friends who are playing other games. We would prefer to continue using Steam's VOIP features rather than other services like Skype, TeamSpeak, Mumble, Ventrilo, etc.

Quick testing shows that this problem is resolved by turning the in-game "Open Mix Threshold" down to 0% and restarting the game. Somewhat inconvenient.
