    Matchmaking sucks confirmed

    I got over 1000 games. I play 80% of my games on very high.

    What does the MM do? I got allies who got 1200 wins and one ally WITH 7 WINS. are you kiding me?

    Well no matter, maybe he knows how to play.

    Last pick faceless void and says "solo top". Well obviosly you can tell he is some lowlevel player by this point. Then we still sent him off with a support....well 22mins in, he has fed firstblood and has managed to get threads, stout shield and quelling blade.

    How godamn awfull that was. I should atleast have the option to search game for 20 mins rather than put me on some super low skilled game. Search time was something like 4-10mins...

    The longer it searches, the wider the skill range becomes.
    Personally I just reset it after 3-4 min.
    Maybe that helps me get decent games.

      If the search takes more than 4 minutes games have the tendency to become awkward. I usually abort the search the too. But I guess a slider that lets you decide how long you are willing to wait for a balanced game isn't a bad idea.

        WOAH 1000 GAMES 80% HIGH, WE GOTS A PRO

        Coming from someone with over 2000 wins, the game's had a forced 50% winrate matchmaking system since 2011
        Get off your high horse, your opinion isn't any more valid than anyone elses

          According to Valve Developer in charge of MM Eric Tams, matchmaking is working as intended. The system couldn't find enough players at your skill level, so it matched you with someone "higher skilled" (the 1200 wins guy) and someone "lower skilled." The "higher skilled" player is supposed to compensate for the "lower skilled" player. Your game should have been fine.
          We need a player review system like Overwatch for DotA 2. Get real people to judge communication abuse, intentional skill abuse, and intentional feeding.

            Just check if the 7 win dude is friends with someone else, like the 1200 wins dude. Probably is.
