  • MM ELO Request

    Hi,

Amidst the chaos around the MM change (to which I didn't even know was changed, maybe the specific formula that was changed could be explained), I'd like to request knowledge about my personal ELO/MMR. Since there has been formal explanations of the matchmaking that includes the display of the players elo's, I think its okay to ask for this.

Not sure how to link... Heres my dotabuff profile

    Thank you

Knowing your rating alone won't provide you with any useful information. Reading your stats and comparing your games, heroes and stuff I'd say your ELO is around 2000.
I use the DBR scale, which existed some time ago.

As I said, what do you get from knowing you are slightly above average? What will your next step be?

I want to know how much further do I have to go to achieve the same elo I had a month or two ago... I'm not in pursuit of achieving a higher skill level, I'm just trying to get better games, Period. Thus, I'd like to know how much further I have to go...

And since I sense that you agree with valve's point of view of hidden stats, I'd like to put in that if I can understand what kind of skill level my team mates are. There wouldn't be any expectations that I would place on them (e.g winning a lane they should)... This would help a shit ton (pardon my language)

I do not want to make further assumptions. That wouldn't help you. What I can show you are the latest statements of a Valve developer from today:

Given this reality, if players used Elo to measure "progress", we would constantly be reminding them that they are NOT making any. That would be really bad.

              Thank you,

I'm fully aware of Valve's current stance on the subject. I was just hoping I'd get a response amidst the current uproar of users asking for their matchmaking explained.
However I found a thread where Fletcher said that he will not be giving out specific MMR's.
