I don't know where this topic really belongs, so I thought I'd try here. Of my last 10 games of dota, over half of the people in each game had a latency over 300 (it was more, but this was average), while my ping remains below 100 as I am playing on the server for my AREA. I understand that an individual can get used to this latency for prediction purposes. I also understand that not everyone has a good internet connection. Even though I understand these things, I can no longer solo queue for these reasons. The games are never enjoyable anymore (solo only). It's always tons of high latency non English speakers in every single game. I'd spend any amount of money to play this game with more restrictions on my matches, and I'd wait any length in queue up to 30 minutes to have matches that did not feature 7 people with 300+ pings that do not speak the language I have selected in the options. I don't even think I'm that great at the game, I have 2000+ games played and this is just my favorite game. It's a shame I can no longer enjoy myself in solo queue games. It makes me question why the option for choosing the English language even there? I don't really expect any sort of response to this I guess. It's just sad as I am a huge fan of this game and see absolutely no improvements being made for those who enjoy playing in solo queue like myself, only deterioration of average game quality in the recent weeks. Thanks for reading if you did.
Edit: The reason this does not mention the fact that some players in my games have had 60 wins when I have had 1200 wins, as I just assumed they were using some sort of matchmaking algorithm and determined that a guy with 60 wins was as good as me, or was a good match. I'm okay with the fact that some people without many games may be as good as someone with 1000 games, as this is just how it is.
