You are correct, there's no FBI agents. If a match has a reached a (pre-determined) level of gpm/xpm etc then it is rated accordingly. If the match has dismal levels of gpm/xpm then it is a low level match.

These facts are readily available through the search feature and until you learn how to use said feature
so what if you play a 5 man push strat and win the game at 15 min?

read my post above this and learn how it's done

i mean how to believe any game company can automatically and accurately determine skill level after 1 game?

Good supports get plenty of assists or even kills.

You cannot have a lot of assists and kill steals on a brand new player when you're getting carried. New players don't know how to tp, they don't know how to teamfight. And even if you do "get carried" you'll fall straight back down when you get put into a higher MMR match and perform horribly.

you're just making shit up, valve doesn't look at any of that, it just gives you high skilled opponents on second game to see if you're good enough for that skill level and in return ruins the game for 9 people, thats all
You don't know shit about the MMR system. You probably think you're stuck with a low MMR rating because Valve is fucking you over with bad teammates, when it's almost certainly because that's where you belong. Many of the whiners on this forum are great examples of Dunning Kruger in action.

I agree with posts above. MM was broken since last update. Don't know what vavle have done, that you play with newbie in dota. Look at this http://dotabuff.com/matches/253548380. I was playing rubick. Our middle laner has only 64 wins. WHAT IS THAT? I NEVER PLAYED WITH SO RETARD PLAYERS. He went middle, was afking sometimes, and fed a lot. Please valve bring back old MM!

do you even read your own links? nowhere does it say that it counts assists or kills or creep score, all it does is calculate ELO differences and wins/losses, so if your win/loss is 30/0 you're guaranteed to be in very high

then how the flip do decent players keep getting total noobs with 1 win? its because valve puts them in high skill after 1 win, doesn't matter if they slip or not, then if they lose that game they are dropped down to lower skill, if they win they stay there

thats how valve ruins games for 9 people because they're too lazy to create a decent placement system, and this isnt a whine post because i clearly won that game

Yea this new match making is horrible. I've obtain more losses because of abandons, i'll play for a good like 10 mins and someone will feed then abandon the game. I really think abandons should not count as a loss on your record. Lately, it has been more frequent after the new match making system thus my losses have increased. I've also been match like many of you guys with feeders, trolls, totally different languages and abandoners. Please rework your matchmaking valve.

                Good job failing to read.

“Noob” is a relative term. We don’t consider a person with 150 games to be a “noob”. We have some good data that by 75 wins (approx 150 games), Elo is pretty accurate, and so we rely on it almost exclusively at around that point. If you are getting matched with those players, it should be because your Elo is approximately the same. Parties can complicate things considerably. I might be able to provide further insight into why it thought the match would be a good one if you provide a MatchID.
Valve relying almost exclusively on win loss "around 150 games" means prior to that they don't rely on it exclusively. And what stats are there besides whether you won or lost? K, creep score, etc.

The second article which you didn't bother reading at all talks about this.

Well from my limited info about all the builds, it comes from pro players, and I saw midas on PL in a lot of pro games, so your insight about being a bad idea isn't right, I don't play PL that much so I can't judge, but if a pro player gets it then I think it's good. Of course you get items based on the lineup and your enemies, I'm just disagreeing on you making it like a general thing.

It's amazing how people are so eager to call each other "f* retards" at the first glance of disagreement.

On topic, it isn't easy to quantify skill properly and I don't think people understand this.
While I do agree there it should be some sort of starter bracket, so this kind of "1 win accounts" discrepancy would not occur, I do not think the match making is as "broken" as people often say, otherwise this forum would be down for the amount of users creating accounts and posting stuff.
Compared to the size of the user base itself, there is a very reasonable amount of "unbalanced games" around these forums.

I would also ask to you guys to improve your manners when it comes to disagreements. As much as we don't want to assume, we have very little data to determinate how fair games were, in most cases, just number of wins from that said game, so most of our arguments are based upon personal experience or assumptions, no need to get aggressive over that.
