  • MM algorithm quality and why there id no need for MMR

It's clear that entering matchmaking by yourself is a terribad idea.

I have 800 wins and get put with 50, 200. I'm also a slightly competitive player, I know what I'm doing having played in 4 small tournaments this year. In approx 1600 games matchmaking, and about 50-60 CM games I have never been outplayed, nothing has ever gone wrong that is my fault. I genuinely believe that I am in the top 0.1% of people that use matchmaking. I am put with very unskilled players EVERY game.

Because the quality of matchmaking is SO BAD at the moment, there is also no reason why there should be an ELO or MMR system, because the most skilled players that dare play outside 5 locks, aren't appropriately given an MMR that is worth boasting because of the algorithms matching them with clueless players. Every game. Every game.

    Great...can't spell correct the title...

A Valve employee explained earlier last week that number of wins doesn't equal skill level. In fact both stats are completely independent. If you truly are part of the 0.1%, your low number of victory actually proves that this is true.
