  • Valve should be more public with the community

We barely have any support in the game and Valve devs are completely disconnected from the community. Even on this forum you rarely can see any posts from game developers.

Typical case - today Dota 2 is barely working, Dota network is constantly going down, MM is searching for games for 20+ minutes, etc.
What's the problem? Servers? Steam issues? In-game problems? Specific region problems? When it will be fixed? We can only guess. Because there's NO INFORMATION and no one cares to say anything about it, I mean developers of course.
I'm not talking about wiping everyone's ass or something like that, but at least in critical situations like this, I guess we have right to know.

I can only compare it with Blizzard because I had to ask from their support a bunch of things in WoW / Diablo or Starcraft. And they do respond on forums or in game.

Hell, even a simply Questions-Answers with the community will help a lot to solve a lot of stupid questions so people will stop asking the same things about how bad MM and why, etc.

You don't read the forums, right?

    First, this: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...979#post669979
    Then look at this: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...711#post670711 + http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...757#post670757 + http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...790#post670790

+ Finally, look at "Performace and Technical Support" forum. JayStelly has been very active there lately.

The Devs are quite active in the bugs sections. You rarely see them in the Misc and Community sections because it is filled with people spamming the forums on "Why am I, the best player ever, always matched with noobs?" and proceed to link to games that show that they were in fact the weak link.
      The stupidity never ends:

Which bugs section are you browsing? I haven't seen a dev post in gameplay bugs for months.

          Being active =/= posting.
You're only as strong as your weakest link.

The devs browsing the forums, reading problems then ignoring them doesn't help us in anyway.
