  • Ultimate guide to losing a Dota 2 match

    Step 1: Feed their carry.
Step 2: The first person to tell you to stop feeding, immediately accuse them of raging and type "omfg you won't believe this (xyz player) raging on our team" in all chat. It's important to get the other team involved so they can pile on as well.
Step 3: If you are caught jungling when you could have saved your tower, bring up the rager again and try to get your teammates to pile on.
Step 4: If you can save your teammate with a simple stun so you both get away, DON'T DO IT! let your teammate die, and as soon as they say something about it, call them a noob and immediately start the all chat rage quote again.
Step 5: If the "rager" focuses attention to your shitty game play you can unleash the almighty, "it's just a game" or you can always try the "why are you being a dick?" move. It firmly places you in victim status and the rest of the team should immediately start piling on him again for pointing it out.
Step 6: It's of utmost importance to divert your own shitty game play away from yourself and focus it on the one who wants to win on your team. If all else fails bring our the grand-daddy of all online provokes and ask him, "are you mad bro?"

If you have any more great (sarcasm) stories of how you have experienced a loss, please share with the group.

i did nearly all of those steps in my smurf
i literally played bad, raged at my teammates, acted like i was an innocent player, blamed dota 2 community for being so angry, said LoL community is better than dota
because none of the enemies knew i was a smurf. they were all guys with 150-300 wins (i had 4 wins)
i did it all to exploit the matchmaking and mute system. also, i reported random people in those games and game thanked me for improving dota 2 community.

Why? Revenge? Feels good to ruin games just because it happened to you? What is it?

            yes
why shouldn't i do that when they give me the right?
if that's wrong, why are some people here defending the system?

I could use real life to explain your first point easily, but I think I'd rather not. Hopefully you can answer #1 yourself.

As for #2: No idea. Maybe it falls under "for the greater good..." or "It's better than nothing, because..."

you are right, my first point was retarded
about 2nd one, some people are defending this completely. not just "it's better than nothing", they are like "valve is improving this"
NO, they are not improving. game has been in beta for 2 years and every time they do something about matchmaking, they break it even more
look at HON, look at LoL, their matchmaking is better than Dota 2's. of course both game has one sided games, but that's about the draft.
in HoN, you won't send some orange/brown to mid. they have to play support and they too, know that. 2 high skilled players go to mid and their player skills/drafts starts talking.
that doesn't happen in dota. you may send some newbie to mid. they should start learning the game too, but not right now, against a high skilled player.
who do you think storm spirit versus silencer can win? silencer can outlane storm easily, as storm won't be able to do anything at lvl 6. this is more about the draft than player skill.
but if you send some newbie, which is innocent, against a skilled player, he will lose with silencer. (i'm not saying it's impossible to win against silencer against ss, but you got my point)

tl;dr : valve isn't improving the matchmaking system. they could keep the game in beta and search for solutions, but no, they released the game unfinished, with the most important part broken : matchmaking

edit : mute system in HoN is really good. i've played it for 3~4 months, i won't say i have a long game history but, i used the report system. same goes for lol

Take a look into the mirror! You think you are completely unfailable. With your limited knowledge, you think that you know more than someone who is very deep in the matter/an expert.

Come back in 3 months. See if shit remains the same.

Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
The only type of player that dislikes having his stats public are the players that suck and cheaters
