  • Where can I see how leaver punishment works

I just did a search on these forums for "leaver punishment" and I can't find an official thread that fully explains it.

As best as I can find, apparently if you leave several games you can only play games with other leavers and reported people etc. And that at first that period of time is short, maybe a couple games, and then as it goes on the amount of games increases.

But, can you be banned completely from dota? Or have permanent punishments etc?

If someone abandoned say a couple games a week, what would happen to him over time?

whoah? there is no such thing as ban in dota 2. If someone abandoned say a couple games a week that means more lpq

Leaving games will just increase your time in LPQ. You can leave 1000 games and still be able to play.

I know a little about this topic.

Basically, their system looks at the recent history of a player, and if there's say... 3 abandons within 20 games, then they'll be placed in low priority for a length of time depending on how often they play (more play time = up to 1 month in low priority and less play time can mean 1hour to 24 hours)
