  • How are players like this still not banned?

Okay so we were playing a game , had this potm on our team, i wasnt doing too well but okay 5 min midas , 11 min SB ect, suddenly POTM goes into full troll mode. purchases wards/sentrys/dust for the enemy team, calls out ganks so on and so forth. After checking his matches and steam profile, this wasnt a single case. So how are players like this, having 2.4k wins and prolly ruining a shitton of games still allowed to play? this wasnt even starter bracket, this was in very high MMR. The devs finally need to permaban players ruining games on purpouse!

Here is the match ID for anyone who wants to look up this retardation of a game: 269981328

Yeah its not like you cant IP ban? also what kind of argument is that? his account has 2.4k wins so i assume around 5k games and u realy think that guy wouldnt learn a lesson if that got taken away from him?
There realy need be better ways of handling these kind of players, just letting them do their thing isnt gonna make the situation any better for the players who actually want to play this game in a normal manner.
I understand that there may be money invovled for valve and potential consumer loss but does that realy matter in the bigger picture? If you want to create a healthy community something permanent needs to be done to players like this.
Or atleast give us an option to /votekick or abandon games like this without getting punished for it, view the replay. We held up against the enemy team even though we were essentialy playing a 6v4 game , no one should have the need to sit through a game like this or get punished for leaving a game like this.

So you think its better to just let them be? Ban their accouts, take their cosmetics away after enough reports for such games and call it a day, knowing there isnt any form of permanent punishment for players like this frustrates me, what do a few hours of low prio mean to this guys? nothing, as soon as it ends they are back at it ruining normal games. As a community we shouldnt accept players like this getting up to 1 or 2k games one account repeatadly doing shit like this.

            It's Valve's Game, not the "Community"s.

Yes, you ban his account and he loses his items and his stats. Pretty clear cut.

                  Why not ?

Wouldn't deletion of your 2.4k win account do anything for you ? Forcing you to start over and all your items are gone. "I get my kicks out of ruining the games for 9 other players and it is supported"

Sure you can't stop low level trolling and chaotic games but when you get higher you expect more.

Solo ranked ladder with minimum 100 games. No more trolls in serious games.
A solution for all (including devs): ranked solo queue without visible mmr (instead brackets).

i guess banning would work for people who care about stats and items, but i think thats 2/3 of the community
I like to do stupid stuff even when i know it's stupid.

What stats? The Elo system is already messed up, playing a game with an account that has 5k games played will have the same result when playing a game with a first game account.

And I really don't think Valve would delete anyone's items unless they use some kind of hack.

There is sadly no working solution for a proper punishment. But for sure there is a solution needed for this heavy style of gameruin. Same like the mid or feed guys, he dont get the mid and starts running into enemy towers instant from Level 1.
                            believe in Valve!

If there was a ladder, then banning accounts so people have to rank up all over again would send a clear message. But there is no ladder because it would "increase toxic behaviour". So no, bans won't do anything. You see, there is much less toxic behaviour now because you can't punish anyone. Don't question Valve logic.
