guess who is bigger than the admin ? who gives admins the authority to hand out bans? the creator of the games in this case thats him and valve corporation . we might have a flawed AUTOMATED system here he is cleansing the system by MANUALLY handling out the bans and removing the toxic elements of the community. they had to start from somewhere so he was the first.

Your analogy is awful, shooting and killing him like you say would imply death and being perma-banned, but he was only muted for two months so it's the same as going to jail for two months.

Did you even read his initial post + his responses. He shows 0 remorse.

He has also left this message which is now deleted on the wall of Valve employee:
            Fuck Abusive V4LVE Employees

            - fuck you faggot ass abusive valve employee. kill yourself for being the piece of shit abusive prick that you are. getting every fucking nerd to raise their pitchforks whats the purpose of that?
(After countless of comments on his and the employee's wall; a bit ironic since he made the "nerds" raise their pitchforks against himself.)

I cannot possibly understand how some people defend that piece of trash (sorry for my words). Only possible scenario for me is they are one themselves.

I have no sympathy for the punished player and here is my reasoning: The Text/Voice Abuse Report system was there to report those who were abusing with text/voice. Theoretically, offenders were meant to be punished, however, in an average game there are no valve employees playing the games so it would take time for the staffs to look through the reports and finally punishing the offender. But in this case it is a Valve employee who has witnessed this offense so action could be taken automatically. Based on my logic, ALL text/voice abusers are worthy of being punished, if any offender gets away with this then they are just lucky because the other players are being nice about not reporting or too lazy to report him/her. You could say the Valve employee took this personally but the offenders was indeed wrong and here's the logic: I hate someone and I saw him/her stealing something from a store and I called the cops.

I do agree that the current report system is very broken and could be abused but this claim would be off-topic.

I do not feel sorry about being muted for 2 months nor you being put into LP, for it is not my concern: you are the one to feel sorry about yourself and take this as a lesson and go think about what you did was wrong and never do it again.

BTW: those who were defending the punished player has some really bad arguments.

The thousands are lucky they haven't been seen by an employee/admin yet AND may not have flamed for a long time AND they have not been asked to stop PERSONALLY by an employee. How do you know the employee doesn't do this to every similar flamer he sees? And still, you can argue all you want, it won't change anything. Also most of the people in Dota 2 seem to be against you. Hope you will use "all your mental functions" to get this in your head. Oh and i'm going go ahead and bet this is NOT the first time an admin/employee has put a manual, longer mute on some players.

for me i dont like how many times i've encountered assoholes but unable to do anything and a valve employee gets to ban someone for two months? (the norm is like 3 days communication ban or something) whereas us the people have to use a shitty report system.

                    1) i think it was okay the employee punished him but the punishment was kind of overboard. however, it's not like they provided us a chat log so we don't really know how bad it is was...
                    2) the employee gets to ban people in his games but what about people like me who encounter assholes lol. if i pm him the employee, he will just ignore me so if he really wanted to rid the game of "flamers" why not do something for everyone rather than just punish the ppl who flame him. it feels like the employee is kind of selfish and is abusing his power even though im glad theres one less asshole playing.

Yeah poor devs don't like us. That is the reason they are not communicating with us and not the fact that they have no excuses or explanations for their failures.

Arresting the person is what should have happened ( reporting them ingame )
Shooting the person is the abuse that happened ( giving 1500 hours of mute and 130 hours of low priority )
Your analogy is a fail. Let's assume that the player "The Fallen" was the crime who broke into the house and the the Valve Employee is the house owner [also a cop], based on your reasoning the house owner should've arrested the crime but instead he shot the crime which you believe it is wrong [the abuse]. Well then allow me to explain this to you that it is under the law that the house owner has the right to defend him/herself if a somebody invades your property. So what happened in the game was that "The Fallen" was cussing in one of the games where a Valve Employee was also in it, and you could be punished for cussing. And having to know the FACT that you could get punished for cussing, Valve Employee brought him to justice.

If this is too hard for you to understand allow me to make clear: If you break into my house I reserved the right to blow your heads off with my Finger of Death. "Not knowing he was a Valve Employee" is basically you saying "I didn't know she can do Finger of Death in real life" and that you've regretted it because you are unaware of the fact that I am more capable than you are and you were unfortunate to not get away with it because I used my real life Finger of Death on you. I could have let you gotten away for breaking into my house but I decided not to, but either way under the law the right for me to blow your heads off was reserved and I am allowed to exercise this power because YOU broke into MY house.

Also note the fact that the Valve Employee did warn "The Fallen" to not cuss. If you still don't understand then allow me to make it simple for you:

If challenged Bruce Lee to a death match not knowing he was Bruce Lee, but Bruce Lee warned to not mess with him but you insist on the challenge anyways, then there is no one to blame but yourself then you get blown up in 5 seconds THEN acknowledge that he was Bruce Lee.

Pretty sure if they say anything people will start calling them liars, just like they did when Valve explained the mute system.

Is there a reason why is this thread still open? Someone broke the rules and got banned, no problem here.

Sure we will call the liars, if what they say is "everything is ok with the game, it is completed, the MM is awesome, the report system is not automated, we fixed all bugs, we ported all heroes" etc.

I closed the previous thread because it started to fill up with sheer ignorance near the end. What on earth makes you think it's okay to then start a thread that is based entirely on the exact same sheer ignorance that got the previous thread closed? Don't even bother answering that, closing this and enjoy your ban.

@Anyone that now suddenly feels the urge to send me a PM: don't bother. I won't reopen the thread because there is no issue. There would be an issue if 'The Fallen' had been banned for just saying 'GG' or something similar, but he was flaming the entire game and kept doing so after being warned as well. There is no issue, ergo, there is no discussion needed on the matter. Don't bother PM'ing me for an attempted discussion. I have no interest in that.
