and not this forum, which exists as a containment area for people who do things like
    • ask for a competent SDK to be released (it won't be unless the profit margin for it's release and continued support is comparable to that of cosmetics)
    • ask for a ladder system in which players who play with the explicit purpose of winning the game can participate in an environment with like-minded players (it would be shocking if this was implemented by 2020, let alone ever; all of Valve's talk about wanting to create a Good Community is shallow PR rhetoric and you better believe if they didn't think "flaming" drove money away they wouldn't care about it)
    • ask for the handful of modes that are somehow still not implemented from DotA (especially -EM/SM (regardless of your personal opinion of the mode) considering the volume of DotA players that prefer it/the fact that it exists, right now, in Dota 2 as a working cvar)
    • ask for hero pool parity with DotA by 2015 (lol)

I'll add more as I think of them lol

And dedicated server. SDK is useless without something to run it
And why do they even need to support SDK? Other source game doesn't even have SDK but its modding is very good (CS TF2 surf server, TF2 floating ship and mann mode, and other)
The thing that dota lacks is custom map support, and the weird thing is Hammer only supports .bsp version 22 while dota uses version 23

I actually don't care what the devs read, however I do care this has become one of the most unpleasant communities and Dota 2 one of the most broken games out there.

Um, no.. There's nothing that makes this game unplayable, the game is not perfect, and it may be broken, but it's definitely not one of the most broken games.

Broken games? Look at Skyrim or Dead Island.

So you haven't experienced the matchmaking system? Nor the mute system? Nor the thousand glitches each game? Or maybe the constant crashes even on high-end pcs? How is that not broken?

^why? you don't need to post it here but give us the link
uhmmm my username is definitely biased, so
First we need to know and what broken game means. If someone broken game is different with others broken game than all hell breaks lose

Matchmaking system. What can one want from it? Go create/play your own matchmaking with blackjack and whatever you want.
Mute system? Tried to offend people - got muted. Stopped offending people - not getting muted. I wonder how isn't it working?
              THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND GLITCHED EACH GAME. Let's say a million. Anyway, like people used to say in wc3: "replay or didn't happen";
Crashes. Probably they happen to someone who has something wrong with his "high-end" pc, I personally have no idea.

Anyone, you didn't make any solid points, why did I bother answering.

                It's pretty simple:
                1. Since the matchmaking changed I've been in the MMR hell as many of the users here have, where I mostly get newbies in my team or people that just refuse to play as a team.
                2. The mute system, that however since being changed, I haven't got muted again, but I do end up with mates that are muted and... Well played!
                3. Glitches like the one where the Pudge hook goes directly through the enemy but does not hook him or when late game the map breaks or other things like that.
                4. 1 out of 3 matches I want to connect into gives me a crash to desktop before it loads up to the hero selection screen. I manage to figure it out that if you close dota and steam fast enough and then reopen then you can still connect to the game you accepted. My PC configuration is strong, as I run a i7 2600k at 4.4 GHz and a GTX 680. I haven't been experiencing this kind of problems with Dota 2 before the last few patches that seemed to destroy this game.
And I can go on.. but I think I made my point here.

You bothered answering with an useless post, as the MM system is broken and you know it, stop defending it ffs. Mute system good? In what way do you think it's fit muting people in a team-based game? Isn't communication the whole point? And yeah, there are thousands of glitches each late game. It has happened even in professional matches, and not once, but more times. And yeah, whenever you see someone not connecting to the game you just joined, they probably just had a crash. The TI3 players had crashes when they played this on stage, so... yeah.

PS: I play Dota 2 since 2011 and Dota since it all began, I think I know when something's gone wrong with the game I spend thousands of hours playing.

I LoLed. Saw it coming tho.

On topic: It's very likely that the devs read both reddit and the dev forums, as well as any other dota2 "big" forum.
Reddit might be more easy to follow than here, but that's just me.
The problem is that they're not that communicative with us here, or at all, but I can easily understand why.

In any case, if you have a bug/suggestion to submit, use both, just in case.

Sure, you guys can always submit stuff on Reddit if you want but you gotta remember that the reason why lots of angry rants and mute/mm hate posts get a lot of page views here on the dev forums is because there is no way for people to downvote your threads. All you need to do to get some attention here is to make a comment. Hell, if someone disagrees with you they're still contributing to the thread's visibility.

However, on Reddit, people have the power to disagree with you. That's why you don't see a lot of posts about mute system/russians/matchmaking/etc on Reddit... posts like these get massively downvoted because people massively disagree.

Just take a look at the thread linked below, for instance. Plenty of people sided with OP on the dev forums, but on Reddit there's a 2.6x ratio of people that disagree with OP... and some of those that downvoted did so simply because they didn't want to see another QQ thread on the front page.

I do not think it is a generalization. Can't I have my own opinion?

Sure you can, but sometimes, some opinions should not be shared with others, you don't go to a bunch of Jews and tell them Hitler did nothing wrong.
