  • How do I report a player who spoil the game on purpose?

Or add him in to my Banlist?

  • #2
Click on the scoreboard, click on the player's name, then click on the report button, and choose the right field. You can only report someone while still in the match, once the match is done, you can't report.

    There's no ignore list.

Slip of the tongue, he meant no banlist. You can ignore him(speaker icon - it will turn red), and he will stay ignored in case you meet him again later until you remove him.

For me, spoiling requires a plot to be in place to be spoiled. (Hence *Spoilers*) Which is why I asked for your definition.

Ways to intentionally spoil a game I can think of:
Intentionally feed -> There's a category for that.
Use their abilities to the detriment of the own team (which includes killing the own courier, etc) -> There's a category for that.
AFK -> It's done automatically (could use some improvement though)

Use their abilities wrong is not killing off the courier, that is also intentional feeding. It's like chasing down and throwing a support Keeper of the Light with minor or no health items into the pack of enemy heroes as Tiny.

There's also various ways to abuse communication, including abusing the minimap signals which can't simply be ignored, but if they are punished for it, they can no longer abuse those signals.
I will mercilessly add to my ignore list anyone that makes an incredibly annoying signature.

                      1. go to his steam profile and select report option
                      2. write the name of the game, match ID, time frame's so it's easier to check
                      3. describe what exactly happened and when (for example, kotl tping you to cliff at 18:45 min in to the game)
Read this if you want to know why so many games is very one sided: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...l=1#post436467

If the player was trying to lose on purpose, you can report for intentional feed or ability abuse - whichever makes more sense.

You can mute a player, but there is no banlist or blacklist in the game.
The mute system works! Down with Toxic players!

This person played bloodseeker in this ranked matched game and spoils our winning game . He just farms and feeds whole game. And he trash talks a lot too. He had been calling me dog...doggy well i never replied so that annoyed him the most.

Because of such players people like me cant raise our ranked match points.

Please check the replay and take required action.

Mute him and if u ever see a muted peron while the game is loading - disconnect.

This way Valve gave us our own personal blacklist. The blacklist file is called voice_ban.dt and stored in:

                            X:\Steam\userdata\[your player ID]\570\remote

Uh, people like you were on opposing team and raised MMR because of him, so you are wrong.

When you get matched against him he will raise your MMR, unless you are bad enough to lose to him.
