    goddamn retard
What difference does it make. Its 7months old when MM was shit as stated by Gaben himself. Nice ad hominem and pointing out minor discrepancies to uphold a so called "Concrete argument" > I must admit I don't remember it being so far back ^^
Anyway again the point is DBR is not accurate as it was shit as it was using MMR ratings which at that time were shit. After it was blocked the next 5 or 6 months Valve made huge reworks to MM and even went as far to experiment with Solo queue options.

Also they shouldn't be providing outlets for a bunch of people to spam...

"The WebAPI only came up yesterday, which means even if we wanted to switch to it, we had no time to test and implement it."

They had other means of gaining information legally.

"Valve has completely taken away our current method of gathering data. This means we are no longer able to get new matches, download replays, qualify aggregates, or properly calculate any other stats (like hero winrates)."
    Therefore this is a lie

Take a look into the mirror! You think you are completely unfailable. With your limited knowledge, you think that you know more than someone who is very deep in the matter/an expert.

    • How did this thread derail into arguing whether Valve is capable of doing good rating system or not?

(edit: yeah, I deliberately said Valve instead of DBR, because if these simpletons are really using the excuse that Valve had bad matchmaking system at the time to prove that DBR's system was bad and that they are incapable of doing accurate rating system)

The guy who was arguing that DBR was accurate quoted Gaben saying that DBR was using the same or similar algorithm to the MMR in January. He also said that the MMR was shit

        Things derail a lot D=

        • bumping this to remind everyone that Crowfeather literally believes that the concept of a reasonable rating system for solo ranked play in a team game is some kind of unattainable technology from the far future lol

That both of these demographics are dumped into the same matchmaking pool with no say in the matter is a testament to the fact that Valve will not ever, in a million years, add any feature to Dota 2 that does not have a profit margin that is comparable to cosmetic items. If you're still waiting for a ladder mode or anything that allows you to be placed with like-minded players your best option is to start brainstorming how to monetize whatever feature you have in mind and then proceed to get it on the front page of Reddit, which is the single, solitary outlet for feedback that Valve devs look at.

            Well fucking said.

            • Yeah make an item like the "Compedium" that will (records your progress in the ranked world) allow you to access the Ranked queue . See now we have both the ranked queue plus valve get money

There is some problem back there that WebAPI is insufficiently advanced enough for their data logging (not being a developer myself, I have no idea)
But the largest problem we have now is lack or no communication between valve and us. I still have no idea until now why valve decided to kill dotabuff from their side, most of them is user comment that say about conspiracy theory about time logging and that stuff and they are illegal contraband and that thing. The only explanation that we got is they doesn't want DBR misled people about their MMR, and even then we get it from inferring gaben comment at a university interview. Mute system? Nope. no answer. LPQ? Little to no? A single comment that assures us that they are working on a new hero instead of cosmetics? None. How about LAN? They already said they will implement it last year, we have the technology now, but no implementation and no response. Any comment about all that hero hud change? none.

So my gues is you are Very happy bout the current MM .. Or your a troll .. You dont point out a solution you beat down other peoples ideas like a troll so you are eather what they call a Volvo knight or just trolling people on the forums ..
we ger Que times of like less than a minute... Wouldnt ladder make that que time like 1 min 20 sec ? .. Big deal i would w8 30 mins for a good game with even players
I used to be a mannered player but then i took a CYKA to the knee ! ValveKnights the new name for Scrub..
