If you feed because you cannot win, aka someone just running down the mid lane because they cba to play to the end or wish to troll their team mates. It's no longer subjective when you clearly define it like that.
3- abuse is not subjective and it is pretty obvious to anyone with a functioning brain what the difference between insults, criticism and abuse are. noob is an insult, it doesnt really abuse anyone in any way shape or form unless you choose to let it. Calling someone out because of their skinn tone, sexuality etc effects more than just the person it is said to potentially and is a far more personal stab at someone than calling them a noob.
4- openly discuss things with your team then, simple as. Communication is key and if u cannot accept someone thinks ur build is shit then you need to 1- chill a bit and 2-think why you actually are doing the build. If you legit think it is a tried and tested build then say that, this starts something called a discussion between two people which the other 3 people are willing to join also. Its amazing what happens when people work together isnt it
5- again theres a 5 man team, there is always a majority
6- this is key to improving, if u will not attempt to improve then why would anyone bother playing with you? Peoples lack of acceptance of their true skill causes the biggest issues in every game

not many people may wish to play with me pal, because i want to get better and sometimes that involves a few feelings getting upset and some pride dented, its how we all get better tho pal sorry - my two cents

I am from the north east of England, we DO swear alot (and oh yes I do sometimes) and hey - guys I do get a bit mad at people completely fucking ignoring everything that I ask/advise/wish to discuss in games with people. This effort is not an 'anti-rage' plan, however some people MAY wish to not play with "ragers" so it shall remain something we will look at. Please remember rage comes from frustration, and frustration is often caused by OTHER things - hence why muting people is such a poor solution for raging gamers. It only stops the rage, not the cause. By removing the people causing the rage, the ragers will not rage. Obviously anyone being racist, homophobic or uses any other slur like that can royally get stuffed - not my style that, that is abuse not rage.**
    Your guidelines are too subjective.
1: What happens if a person has been muted?
2: Feeding is subjective. I recently have an opponent who plays a decent Anti-Mage, but he could not really do much when a Riki Smoke Diffusal Purge and kill him off before backup can even arrive. Is he feeding? What should he have done? He needs to farm, but Riki can solo kill him anytime Riki encounters him.
3: Abuse is subjective. Some people treat "lol you are so noob" as abuse, others dont.
4: Constructive Criticism is subjective. Prior to Mekansm Alchemist becoming "professional", the typical constructive criticism in pub games is that the Alchemist player getting Mekansm is a noob.
5: Again, it is subjective. Some people might think its possible to split push instead of defending.
6: This shows you are raging hard.

Overall, you are raging extremely hard from your post, I can tell.
Perhaps you should add yourself to your supposed banlist.
I will never want to play a game with a person like you, someone with so many pre-conceived notions about the game.

There's ample moderation. A guy made a giant troll thread last night where he badmouthed people and he got banned. Multiple threads get locked daily. Volunteer moderators post with excellent information (usually better than mine).

You should've gone in-depth with the banlist and not tried to make a movement for weak reasons.

I like the banlist, but the whole #scrubforlife thing is stupid since these forums are pretty much exactly what you're trying to create. This whole post proves that, in fact.

  • No mutes needed - give me back my ban list please - #scrub4life

To Valve and all our Dota community,

For too long have we all posted pointlessly with Valves almost complete ignorance of the issues with public match making in our beloved Dota 2. In their defence, it would be politically incorrect for a global reaching organisation such as Valve to reply saying "ok guys don't worry, we will ban Russia from playing with you all" (or any other nation obviously) and also in their defence they probably think their matchmaking formula is absolutely amazing - and hell maybe it actually is - regardless however it clearly is not working. Against Valve however goes probably hundereds of thousands of posts and comments about the issue - hell probably millions if you spanned the whole web for each one - and plenty of video evidence, pictures, screenshots etc from people ranging from the scrubs all the way to actual professional players. Also it must be pretty hard to go through all of those threads...so why don't we make it a bit easier for them?

Valve - screw fixing your broken system and implement just ONE change to it so that we, the players, your CUSTOMERS (as it seems you have forgotten) manage who we play with by ourselves. Bring back the ban list. If I get a player I no longer wish to play with again for whatever reason, let me add him to MY OWN ban list. Implement it into steam - players STEAM accounts you have on ignore or (on a newly created) 'dota banlist' setting...they simply do not match make you with that player - or maybe on a SEVERE unlikely hood, and if people still continue to meet the same people then just out right stop them being allowed to match make together - most certainly on the same side. Also in order to ensure you do not have to do ANY work what so ever in regards to regulating your community, make it so the banlist is simple to edit and transfer from PC to PC. We will create our own site, our own space, and we will create forums where players can put forward replays, screenshots of chats, scores - whatever they feel makes a player potentially unfit for the common pubber to play with - and we will on the third occasion add them to the 'unofficial official banlist' which people can download a copy of, place it in their dota 2 folder, and enjoy playing public match making safe in the knowledge a large chunk of the trash will never appear on their team again.

This is better than LPQ, as it really will place people into their own little well where only the trash is welcome and they can play with each other and see how the rest of us feel. It is better than muting, because why mute offenders? Bro let them go on and offend away more and more - the sooner the better we can add them to the banlist and never see them again - maybe. To keep it fair the site will purge names off the list on a bi-monthly basis, all bar the absolute worst of offenders. So then if YOU personally STILL do not want to play with a player, just add his name to ur own copy of the banlist and never see him again - gg! We could even have different versions of the list, ragers, feeders, low skill, non-english speakers, players from wrong location (eg chile on EU today lol??? wtf) etc etc - basically its a tool to share experiences with each other and tailor your ban list to suit your own needs - all without Valve having to lift a finger!

But friends we really must be careful with this - Valve will not do this without some solid evidence. So lets get them it. Operation #dotascrub4life needs to go into action. What you need to do guys is go and STREAM your games, RECORD your games, take SCREENSHOTS, keep MATCH ID's, or use DOTABUFF - anything you feel, even a name may help to spot repeat offenders. Get yourself on www.twitter.com, sort yourself an account out and tweet @dota2 (https://twitter.com/DOTA2)and @ValveInteract (https://twitter.com/ValveInteract) and LINK US YOUR EVIDENCE and ofc - add that magical #dotascrub4life so we can SEARCH by hashtag and see all that lovely incriminating evidence!

    Operation #dotascrub4life guidelines
#if you refuse or cannot communicate with your team mates in the selected language - you are #dotascrub4life
#if you feed because you cannot win the game and do not have the will to fight to the end - you are #dotascrub4life

#if you cannot accept you are not dendi, never will be dendi, and actually still do need to L2P - you are #dotascrub4life

    PLEASE DO NOT
    -be racially abusive
-(try ) to slag off any nation, just the player you "tag" - let the evidence mount up for the nation itself
    -spam the hash tag needlessly
-insult valve at all, we actually want them to help and I think they got enough in my thread tbh
-mention LoL at all, no need for it - each to their own leave them in peace
-most importantly, dont post anything that is not decent guys - you want to prove to valve, make sure they get decent stuff

If this all fails, no harm can come from it - but it is an interesting way to share with each other our experiences and name and shame people across the interwebs for all to be known. If the idea catches on, I'll make and host the site myself as promised and hopefully Valve will see that this one solution beats all - just fucking let us be the judge and jury of our own community and control who WE want to play with.

GL&HF guys, keep spreading gaming for the better of the scene and lets mop up the mess that this match making has spread over our beloved Dota 2.

**Note to all, I am not an elitist - there is PLENTY of stuff for me to learn in this game and I am by no means an expert, however I would say I have a very very firm grasp of the game and can play it to a decent enough level to participate in any line up effectively. I am from the north east of England, we DO swear alot (and oh yes I do sometimes) and hey - guys I do get a bit mad at people completely fucking ignoring everything that I ask/advise/wish to discuss in games with people.
