    The last patch added a system where your profile level dictates the quality of drop you're eligible for, from Level 0 = Common Only to Level 7 = everything up to and including Arcana as an attempt to discourage smurfing to farm items.

    Do people think that your level should influence your chance of a good drop as well? Obviously I'm not suggesting something silly like guaranteed Arcanas every game, but just a slowly decreasing chance of commons and an increasing chance of better items as your level increases. It would give the game something more long-term to play for.

    What are your thoughts?

        well made thread in a long time

        i think they should add lvlups by xp like the heros does

        so you need
        100 xp for 1st lvl
        and so on
        If you find spelling errors, you are free to take them.

            Even if it is only 1% per level on commons, and a 0.5% on rares, and say 0.1% on arcanas, it would provide "some" motivation and not exactly hurt Valve's revenue.

                It would be nice decreasing common and increasing rare and other quality chances. +1

                I was really excited when they announce that in test patch. Then we all see this is another useless shit that affect nothing at all.

                  lol I thought this "new" add on would be something like separating different type of items with different %'s for different lvl's >.< Like Commons would have 100% from lvl 1 to 6 (example) and after that common % goes down uncommon % goes up , after a few lvl's rare % comes (small one) then it slowly goes up and etc etc. Not that it means u WONT get a common item when the % of it is lets say 10% .... but still something that would "show" you what you have a CHANCE to get , not telling that u can get arcana and i get a common wepp .... Good work Valve ^_^

                    I think the better buff would be to give higher levels a gradually increasing chance of finding an item, while keeping the ratio of commons, uncommons, rares, etc the same.

                        Pretty much this, it really didn't change anything at all. I don't think increasing the chance just slightly would hurt their revenue that badly.

                          I think transparency is the issue here. Valve should clarify the exact percentage chance of getting items according to their rarity and how players' level affect it. Without this kind of tranparancy, people will just keep questioning and spitting bullshit towards valve
