  • win/loss streaks of a player should be taken into account in RMM

I know valve wants to perform the matchmakings under 2 minutes but the faster the worse match is played usually. First you should ask this question: is averaging ratings enough? I mean players may have bad days and streaks should be one of the indicator of such case. I think it is insane matching 4 players in a winning streak with a guy that is in a terrible 5 - 8 loss streak, clearly has a bad day, he may have his reasons. some of the excuses I read : I am stoned, I am drunk, I don't care I feel sad. Yet just because he fits into the average rating he's eligible. This is nonsense. There should definitely be a winners' and losers' bracket in RMM. My suggestion would be in addition to regular ranked matchmaking (where only average rating is important): for serious players there should be an option like: "Find Hardcore Match" I don't know I just made it up but such option that may take more than 10 minutes to match you with suitable players. When you are matched all 10 players in the game would be in a winning streak. I don't know if there are people that think like me but in my opinion I rather wait 10 or even 20 minutes to find a proper match where there won't be any griefers having a bad day. Such players that get sick of their terrible previous teammates and for instance deny to play the support role as last pick. This is just one way that comes to my mind of a losing streak guy that ruins a game for others. I know I am dreaming by asking for this because apparently even now just for the sake of averaging both teams some stacks are being matched with solo queue players.

Valve thought that all we want is small search times , I believe better waste 7 minutes to search for a match rather than waiting 2 minutes and another 40 for a bad match.

The rate number (example 3500) doesn't mean anything.
Since the numbers are useless... you can wait 1 hour and still get noobs in your team...
Matchmaking can't predict how a player will evolve in that day... or how he is feeling...

We all want to get rid of the noobs/feeders/trolls/leavers(and so on), but when you lose a game... you will always blame someone (even yourself) for why you lost the game.
If they would take in consideration loses, for example, then more players will troll a game (afk farming) just to know that the next game they will Stomp hard the enemy, and have fun doing so.
      This is how Dota2 games should look like! Game 1_Game 2_Game 3_Game 4_Game 5_Game 6

that's exactly what I'm saying rating doesn't mean anything so averaging ratings shouldn't be the ultimate measure of next match. That's why I'm asking for winners's/ losers' bracket. I can assure you most of my win streaks are broken because of a loser in the team. This is not about finding a scape goat for a lose that I get. I am mature enough to admit if the loss is caused by me. Or I'm quite experienced and skilled to understand whether the team has done his best and lost due to bad pick. Not every loss results in one player flaming others. In some games there are really descent players that just are aware of the reasons of the loss. A failed fight, a position/ moment that started the snowballing etc. I am talking about straight losers that are in bad mood. They should be separated until they start winning again but they should do so in their own bracket.

One more thing just came to my mind about this issue. How many of you have played with a guy that you just stomped him the previous game but now he is on your team and he shows the same bad performance? The guy you beat now is in your team and causes you to lose. Happened to me hundreds of times. This is not blaming a person. It is clear that he sucks for the day he is playing. Just get over with it and match him with other players having a bad day. it's a win win. He plays bad at that day but he will also be matched with other players having a bad day so he has a better chance of satisfying his need of win and restore his self esteem. I am not hating any kind of player here. I just wanted to suggest an option that I believe it would improve the quality of matches.

So you WANT to win every match? This is not going to happen.

              resons:
              1. Winner brackeds would get infinit amount of mm rating
              2. losers will get - rating
              3. distribution will not be the curve rater than a 50:50

What you want, is a FORCED 50% win rate for EVERYONE. IT doesnt matter if you know the game or not. It doent matter if you have a "bad day" if you lose/win 1 match you ensure that you are in the winners/losers bracked.

You also should consider that bracked thinking is beyond stupid to say at least.

you make 0 sense with your reply now so don't come up with stuff that you heard on forums like forcing 50% win rate etc.. Yes I want to win my every game and it's not going to happen at some point I will lose eventually. All I'm trying to do is removing the unfair losses due to some type of players. There are differences between losses really some of them are extremely annoying and unfair. A guy that dies once and abandons the game? when you look at his profile you see he has lost the previous 5 games all with scores of 0 kills 10+ deaths no matter what hero and role he's been playing. now what the hell is he doing in my team while I was having a great win streak. Do I or my teammates deserve that type of player? You must be really confused. By saying winners bracket will gain points and loser's bracket will lose. I just laugh at this shit. You do realize that all brackets will eventually have 5 players that will switch sides at the end of any game since there is no match that results in a draw as in chess since this is dota right?

I have encountered exactly one griefer in about 150 games. If you encounter griefers that much, it's probably your own fault. Let him that is without sin cast the first stone

it would be great to find match like this: loser bracket gets 10 losers for a match and winer bracket gets 10 winners for another match this way at least half of people who lost their last match win and half of people who won their last match lose. this is great idea man. +1
PS: it may double the search time and when you give it more thought you see even without this implemention the win/lose ratio is 1. well I think this idea needs a thorough analysis. -1 then = 0.0. but this seriously needs some consideration IMO.

                        This actually sounds interesting.
If nothing else, people might stop using the "I was on a win streak now it only gives me loss streaks" bla bla bs.
